The Patriots humiliation is now complete

Post by BSmack »

Pat's players got their AFC Championship rings. No word on whether Finkle was on hand to get his. But get this little tidbit.
Owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft presented the players with rings. On one side of the ring, it reads "16-0 -- perfect season." On the other, it reads "18-1, AFC Championship."

In addition, a banner was made to commemorate the season, and it was unveiled at the ceremony, with Kraft pulling a rope as it came down from the ceiling. It will be displayed at Gillette Stadium, next to the team's Super Bowl banners.

Way to remind your guys that they choked on the biggest stage in sports. And that banner? Let's just say that if my team put that kind of crap next to their 5 Super Bowl banners, I'd be pretty fucking pissed.

16-0 is pretty remarkable... if you can somehow stomach cheaters.

Yeah, they should have just given the players an autographed Steve Grogan jersey and called it good.

Hell the Colts had an "AFC Finalist" banner up in that crappy dome they play in when I went to a game there. This was a banner for an AFC Championship game that they lost.......

That's even more lame. Congratulations for being a step above the Colts I guess.
