Reaction to what? A lot of "I don't knows" and "No comments"?
I'm sure SOMETHING is going down there, but until we hear at least one substantiated fact, I would not give two shits what PSU has to say. Let the story pan out at least a little before you start the lynch mob.

The lynch mob? I didn't even give an opinion on it. I just posted the story. It's an issue because this has been a regular occurence for JoePa's players for quite a while. If this same incident occured in Iowa, it would be all over the news right now and the whole state would be wanting to publicly hang Ferentz before any facts have come out. Guess that's the benefit of having pro teams in your state and media members that don't have agendas.

Yeah I saw the OTL on PSU Football as well. Still would like to see and hear more than No Comment before I would give an opinion or reaction to it. For all we know, the football players could be victims as opposed to perps in this case. Just need more info.

Rumors are flying fast at this point - everything from what happened initially, to what players have been dismissed...
So really, there's nothing to say that is definitive.
From a purely football-oriented perspective, clearly dismissing Mo Evans (the one can't-miss NFL talent on the squad), AJ Wallace, and Abe Koroma would hurt the defense immensely. Andrew Quarless, if he is involved, will undoubtedly be dismissed, because he's been in a lot of trouble already. Continuing from that perspective, I had already come to terms with the fact that this was a lesser year for our defense.

Re: More problems at Penn State
Give me a percentage chance JoePa returns next year? I say 25%.
I think Penn State can win 8-9 games (maybe even 10), so it'll be hard to force him out because of on the field struggles.
But if he ends up with a disappointing year with 6-7 wins, I bet they force him out.
Let's say though that Penn St wins 9 games, gets to a New Year's Day bowl but things off the field aren't changing. Is JoePa still coaching there next year?

Long story short - I think Joe wants to stay. My guess is that he'll be there for another couple of years. Spanier and others in positions of authority are not pleased with the disciplinary woe stuff, but I don't think that will cause them to force Joe out. I don't think they fully blame Joe for what some of the kids are doing.
