Nice game. Well, you might not think so...
Real quick as an aside - As of last Thursday evening, I wasn't planning on watching the game. I just made a move from Michigan to Illinois and was planning on originally doing the move on Saturday. Ran into some complications and didn't actually move until yesterday. This turned out to be a good problem as I was able to catch the game.
It went down pretty much how I expected, except I thought ND might tack a few more points on the board. ND gave up that fumble in MSU territory which was a killer for them. All around, I was very happy with the way MSU played on D. The secondary is the D's biggest question mark and it played bend but not break ball, which is all one can ask for. ND's passing game will cause some teams fits. I think Clausen is going to be just fine. It's apparent how much he's progressed. Much, MUCH more poise, more arm strength, better decision maker. He was taking hit after hit in that game and bounced right back up like it didn't happen. I think he's a player. Unfortunately for him a couple mistakes he did make turned into INTs, but give a lot of credit to Otis Wiley for MSU who I feel is a helluva football palyer. The guy is all over the field delivering hits, picking off passes, delivering punt returns... I'm biased but I think he's pretty underrated. I guess if MSU posts a decent record he'll get some more love.
Anyway, just curious about your guys' thoughts on the game.

Was trying to get around to posting something yesterday but got caught up at work.
Congrats on the win. Your defense completely shut down ND's running game and forced Clausen into some bad throws. I give credit to Dantonio for sticking with the run, even though ND played the run extremely well for well over 3 quarters.
It's frustrating because all of ND's playmakers are soph's or freshman. Floyd plays the ball very well, but he dropped that ball without a big hit.
Wiley made two great picks, but the first one was more a result of ND's receiver playing like he's 5'9" instead of 6'5". Kamara reminds me so much of Maurice Stovall his second season it's scary. And that's not a good thing.
I really like Dantonio and think he will do very well at State. I hope Weis finds a running game or his tenure at ND will end after next season.
Congrats on the win.
