Woah, PSU fans, calm down

Are they serious with this Quote?

RE: PSU/Illinois ... comments and predictions
Here is my first premise:

We have a better offense than Missouri. We have more weapons, can beat you more ways, and have more overall speed that Mizzou. They have a more seasoned QB. Illinois gave up 52 to Mizzou on a neutral site.

We score 53 a game. Plus 2 more for the whitehouse. Illinois gets 28.

55-28. And its over well before the 4th. Its the Spread HD coming out party.

what skilled position do they have an advantage over Mizzou??? Qb, nope, WR, nope, TE, nope, Rb, push? OU has better players at skilled position than PSU has. Tejas might have overall better players at those positions. Now that is some homerism.

is that the bizarro Tigerboard for PSU fans???? cause thats some delusional shit! Does PSU even have more weapons than MSU? Not a shot at MSU, cause they have some good players at skilled positions on offense.

Wow, they beat up some bad teams and can out gun anyone in country.

easy lion fans, i think you should worry about the Big10, and winning the conference before laying claim to being able to whip missouri. WOW

If those two met up in a bowl game, that'd be a very interesting matchup. Right now I've got to give the edge to Mizzou just because of what we KNOW they're capable of. PSU is still a bit of a mystery. The Illinois game should tell us some. When you look at both offense and defense, PSU might have the potential to be a better overall football team though. Mizzou can light up a scoreboard but that D has some holes.

Don't get your trousers twisted, TigerFans. I just said "potential."

that is somewhat tigerboard-esque, i'll give you that. if PSU has more weapons that Daniel, Maclin, and better TE's than Mizzou than props....but i don't see it. now, D is a diff story.

someday in my perverse "i can't believe i've wasted all this time in the last decade on football message boards" dreams there would be some kind of showdown between tigerboard and texags.com. i'm not sure how you'd quantify it, but it would be a clash of titans. you could prolly t'row OUInsider into the mix, but i don't read that hardly ever.

What - are you stalking me?

My nick over there is "Wickerman"...and yes, I'm over 10k posts...

Adel, every homer board has the delusional fans and the realist fans. You know this, right?

PSU seems poised to have a decent season. They have pounded 4 teams that were not much of a challenge. I do think they'll whip Illinois pretty comprehensively this year...and if you think the Blue Kool Aid is flowing now, just wait until midnight Saturday.

It's best to take the season one opponent at a time - thus my avatar strategy here. However, I can't blame a fan for getting excited and getting fucked up on Kool Aid. That's what fans do...

Don't count Zook out. These are the types of games he wins.......then loses to some high school the next week. Crappy coaches with talent tend to win games like this. This will be closer than you think.

That Quincylion little feller going on about how Mizzou had lost to Arkansas last year almost had me wanting to register. I kept waiting and waiting for someone to correct that twerp...

Nice thread, though. Lotsa' well informed opinion other than the above mentioned Quincy... you should take him under your wing over there... Wickerman. :?

I'll be interested to see how Illinois matches up against PSU, for comparison sake and all that. The Juice can hurt you in many ways. God forbid they win, somebody will have to talk poor Quincy down off a ledge.

I mean shit, Buffalo beat Temple, who lost badly to PSU so therefore Mizzou... something or other about comparing apples and hand grenades.
