This will make for alot of movement as there are several head to head games between these guys.

Don't sleep on PSU.

He had 3 big 12'ers in there, what's the problem? Mizz will get their chance. They are in a "control their own destiny" dealio. Doesn't matter where you are going into October.

1. Oklahoma
2. LSU
3. Mizzou
4. Texas
5. Alabama

Pretty sweet deal moving up 3 slots w/o even having to play. 8) And not to go all Big XII BSH here, but having 3 teams in the top 5 does not suck either.

So, I wonder how far USC, Georgia, and Florida will drop?

6. Texas Tech
7. BYU
8. Penn State
9. South Florida
10. Florida.

It was funny listening to the Gameday dorks talking about how they thought Georgia should move back to #1 with a win over Alabama... regardless of what OU did against TCU. Meatgrinder and all that.

Scott was right, and not the one who suggested moving Alabama up past both Mizzou and Texas, SEC ballsucking homer.

Fair enough, but the original polls are still being voted on by the original pollsters, so even though Bama may deserve to be rated higher, they won't be. At least not this week.

Soon enough OU plays Texas and then Mizzou plays Texas the very next week. So if the Tide continues to play the way they have, they'll pass at least one or two of 'em.

I haven't looked at the schedule, but does Bama play LSU?

I agree. Right now I'd say Bama deserves to be #2 behind Oklahoma. I'm still not sold on Mizzou until they prove they can beat an elite team like Oklahoma.

Exactly, Mizz will get their chances to prove themselves, including a shot at #1. They're in the old "control their own destiny" spot. There are no crystal trophies up for grabs in september. Right now Bama's resume is stronger, but if Mizz keeps their nose clean, they'll be fine.

Mizzou defense sucks more balls then FSUs Offense. I wouldnt be surprised to see Mizzou lose 2 of the next 4.

Everyone is right about Texas not beating anyone and I like for them to stay under the radar so to speak. But this Texas team is a whole lot better than last year. Last year at this time they were barely sqeaking by the early patsies on the schedule and Colt McCoy was enjoying a sophomore slump. This year the defense is giving up some yards, but the red zone play has been fantastic. Muschamp has those guys buying in to his style and the difference from last year to now is night and day. The next few weeks will go far in determining if they are really any good, but if they are able to beat at least OU or Mizz then this team is light years ahead of where I figured they would be. If anyone has actually seen them so far you will know Colt McCoy is playing at a different level this year and the only reason he is not getting more hype is all the other great siganl callers in the conference.

Being that Bama has a couple quality wins I'd say you gotta move them ahead of LSU to #2. OU is playing damn good ball but between Texas, Tech, OSU, KU, and the CCG likely against Mizzou they'll be hard-pressed not to trip someplace.

Never thought he was. I was hoping FSU would bring in Chris Hatcher after Bobby left.

I think Jimbo is just going to continue the "success" we have been having on the offensive side of the ball and after Mickey Andrews retires...FSU is going to have many losing seasons until Jimbo is thrown out. Hopefully I am wrong and jimbo is the next big thing.

Without Andrews, FSU wouldve had losing season almost every year since Richt left. FSU always has one of the best defenses. I dont think FSU has lost a game since the mid 80s, if the noles score more than 30.

No so fast, my friend. It depends on what has happened in the SEC.

Then again, it really doesn't matter. SEC/B12 champs should play for the national championship.
Way too early to make this call my friend. You may be right, but we wait so long for the season to come around let's let the thing play out.

No, it doesn't.

If Texas is undefeated with wins over two top five teams, they should be ranked #1. Believe it or not, sometimes things of consequence happen outside of the SEC.

Though perhaps I should have been more clear and said that "For me, Texas would be a clear #1 given those circumstances." Just as I think Alabama is #1 right now.
tejas will have beat

2 top 5 teams
3+ top 25 teams.(tech,Okie st,KU, etc)

and then another top10 team in big12 title game they should be undisputed #1 going into title game, if they win out, and it's not even close.
