Booze, beef stew, Kleenex and jergins this Saturday
Noon (ET): Texas Tech at Kansas -- The o/u on this should be about 127. Should be hella fun to watch.
12:30: Oklahoma at Kansas State -- For some reason this game worries me. Could be a trap game for OU. KSU's special teams are good (they've blocked 4 kicks this year) and OU's suck. I think OU will win it, but much closer than 19 points in the spread.
3:30: Georgia at LSU -- The complete opposite of the Tech-KU game. Defense worshippers should be in heaven.
3:30: Oklahoma State at Texas -- OSU has played Texas well in recent years ... for a half. Is Texas due for an entire bad game? I doubt it. We'll see how well they can defend OSU's running game, which is No. 5 in the country.
3:30 Michigan St. at Michigan -- Rivalry game, which won't be shown here, but for where it is shown, 'Nuff said.
6:30: Colorado at Missouri -- Should be interesting to see if Mizzou can find their pshcye at home.
7:45: Alabama at Tennessee -- Sure, UT is down this year, but the atmosphere in Neyland for a night game is going to be off the freakin' hook. 'Bama better come to play.
8:00: Penn St. at Ohio St. -- 'Nuff said.
10:15: USC at Arizona -- Go 'Cats!!
I plan on making a pot of home-made beef stew, having the fridge stocked on Friday night, three different TVs on and new batteries in the remote.
This Saturday is not going to suck.

you can probably take a nap at halftime of the CU-MU game. CU hasn't scored more than 14 points since that big win against Eastern Washington...14 ain't going to beat Missouri-no matter how funked out they are or whatever.
Ok State won't win in Austin.

An expression, dogs. Suffice to say, my BAC will be keeping pace with 88's and probably sooner in the day.Sudden Sam wrote:I was afraid to ask!Goober McTuber wrote:Kleenex and Jergens? For watching college football? :?

It looks sweet, but like all weekends so far this year I'm gonna miss most if not all of them. One of the better seasons especially being a Texas homer and I've pretty mush missed most of the action 'cept radio coverage. Spent the good portion of the last few weeks in Houston working Ike recovery and then I get home and my daughters HS Band has a competition every Saturday until the 2nd weekend in Novemeber. I envy you sickos that get to go to a game or watch 'em all on the tube. Guess I'll just grab the Jergens before I head out the door.

Taco Tech comes crashing back to reality here. I hope Mangina runs up the score and then belly flops on Leach at midfield during the postgame handshake.RadioFan wrote:Texas Tech at Kansas -- The o/u on this should be about 127. Should be hella fun to watch.
Dude, I want some of what you're smoking. KSU sucks.Oklahoma at Kansas State -- For some reason this game worries me. Could be a trap game for OU.
OU - 77
KSU - 3
Should be a great game. I really like OSU's chances of springing the upset here.Oklahoma State at Texas -- OSU has played Texas well in recent years ...
Colorado sucks only slightly less than KSU. Mizzou is so fucking pissed off they'd eat your stew.Colorado at Missouri -- Should be interesting to see if Mizzou can find their pshcye at home.

Re: Booze, beef stew, Kleenex and jergins this Saturday
Pretty much the same here. My son is playing youth football this year for the first time, and his games are on Saturday afternoons. That cuts into my ND watching big-time. The best I've been able to manage so far has been a few minutes at the end of the game. To make matters worse, they changed their radio contract this year, so now I have no radio coverage.campinfool wrote:RadioFan wrote:

On the bright side, this Saturday is his last game, and it's also ND's first night game of the year. So it looks like I'll at least get to see the second half of the season.

At least when I was working 7 days a week I could use Sirius to get the games, but no such luck watching HS marching band after marching band every weekend now.Terry in Crapchester wrote:so now I have no radio coverage.campinfool wrote:RadioFan wrote:

This has definitely been a Kleenex and jergins game so far....what ever that means....RadioFan wrote:12:30: Oklahoma at Kansas State -- For some reason this game worries me. 28-28 all tied in the Little Apple

Close to 700 yards in offense so far in 1st half. This game is nuts.
Re: Booze, beef stew, Kleenex and jergins this Saturday
The booze went dry, the beef stew quit bubbling, and the jergins ran out....a dry fucking is on.....48-28 in the 1st half.

The booze definitely hasn't run dry. Round 2 .... Ga up on LSU, Tex just scored but OSU looking tough. MSU up 7-0.

Round 3 up now. Jebus. Unless the start of 'Bama-Tenn holds true or unless PSU-tOSU is epoch, this is turning into an .m2 weekend. We'll see.

at least the buffs scored on Texas. ordinariy, leaving your starting QB in the game when you're up by 40+ points would be a bitch move, but Hawkins fucking deserved it. They can't run his fat ass out of Boulder soon enough & take his cocksuckin kid with him.

Sorry, Coods...
As the resident Mizzoufan, I have to apologize. They kept the 1st team in there trying to preserve the shut-out.
I knew they were pissed, but I didn't know they were that pissed.
Shit like that tends to come back and bite. What goes around comes around, and I'm not proud of that.
Rack your coach for eschewing the FG and going for the TD.
