Rack those crazy Afro-Norwegians

Some of the comments are priceless. Particularly the theory about Your President being the son of Malcolm X. I'm sure Rah Rah Rasputin, The One Board's Greatest Melt Machine ('sup, Boney M) is following this Bernsteinian saga with bated breath.

Why don't you go ahead and point out any spelling or grammar errors in that paragraph, Retard.

Maybe someday, that keyboard of yours may serve another purpose aside from kicking your ass... but I doubt it.

Okay. I wasn't aware of this statement by Obama. She told me she herself heard him say it in a speech.
Actually he said that they could mine all they wanted, but he was going to tax the industry 100% until they went out of buisness. But don't let the facts get in the way or anything...

Uh huh. Sure you did. She also told me he couldn't get her social security, but he could get mine and my wife's. I tried to calm her by suggesting that I dooubted we'd see much change in anything...just the usual same ol' same ol'. Oh no! Gas is going to go up (I thought it had done that already), people are gonna lose their jobs (ditto), and the whole country was going to experience terrible financial straits (uh...wow). She didn't get around to the anti-Christ shit, but, if i'd suggested it, I'm sure she'd have run with it.

If she only had a computer. I'd turn her on to the API shit. Her head would explode!

There are a lotta idiots around.
Obama's stated plans would make it very costly for coal fueled electricity, near impossible for new plants fueled by coal to be built. His cap and trade ideas - to be more aggressive than Europe's - would "necessarily" raise the cost of electricity.

While he hasn't explicitly said he doesn't care about jobs. His policy leanings if put in place will have consequences. Those consequences will be the loss of jobs in the coal industry, power industry, and average consumers will be paying a lot more for electricity.

Those who can afford it will not have to curb their use. Those who cannot, will have to curb their use. This means, the aristocracy will be able to use more or not alter their lifestyles, while the peasantry, will have to alter their lifestyle. Simply put, the middle class will feel the pinch once again, some will rise to the haves and some will fall to the have nots.

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"

It remains to be seen what President Obama will do, but based upon his own words, the woman's concerns are not invalid. A tad misinformed when it comes to the details, but not grossly ignorant.

I'll see your Paul and raise you another ... (Ron Paul)

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/11/ ... index.html
I concluded my answer by simply stating the Republican Party had lost its way and must reassess its values. And that is what needs to be done in a hurry.

But it might just take a new crop of leaders to regain the credibility needed to redirect the Party. It certainly won't be done overnight. It took a long time to come out of the wilderness after 40 years of Democratic rule for the Republican Party to take charge. Today though, time moves more quickly. Opportunities will arise. The one thing for certain is that in the next four years we will not see the Republic restored. Instead the need for it will be greater than ever.

The problems are easily understood and the answers are not that difficult. Abusing the rule of law and ignoring the Constitution can be reversed. If the Republican Party can grasp hold of the needed reforms, it can lead the way and regain its credibility. If power is sought for power's sake alone, the Party will never be able to wrench away the power of the opposition.

In the past two years, I found that when the young people heard the message of liberty, they overwhelmingly responded favorably, fully realizing the failure of the status quo and the need to once again endorse a system of self reliance, personal responsibility, sound money, and a non-interventionist foreign policy while rejecting the cradle-to-grave nanny state all based on the rule of law and the Constitution.

To ignore the political struggle and only "hope for the best" is pure folly. The march toward a dictatorial powerful state is now in double time.

All those who care -- and especially those who understand the stakes involved -- have an ominous responsibility to energetically get involved in the battle of survival for a free and prosperous America.

If America survives Obama, a post-Obama world will likely be a more Conservative world ten times more Conservative than that of Ronald Reagan. Preferably, I hope someone like Bobby Jindal smashes Obama's "message" of "hope" and "change" as just lipstick for Uncle Sam to grow the size of government:
This I agree with. Emphesis on the if.

Yes. He Can.
