Did you catch PrimeX's post on the league message? We're going to do a live draft instead...
But due to a very busy schedule at the job I'm not sure how well I'll be able to manage doing all of the draft status/picks/bitching in a timely manner.

I set up the live draft for the 25th at 9pm CDT. If we can all agree on a better time for an evening draft, please speak up. If you can't make it, please pre-rank your players in advance.

I will be picking the draft order by picking your names out of my buttocks on random pieces of paper. The night before I will swallow handfuls of corn and peanuts. If your name has a peanut on it, you're on odd draft number. Corn, even. I will then spread your names around my home office and breakdance. If I end my wave/backspin and I'm pointing to your name, this will help select the draft order.

Word to EPMD.

Um... CDT (Central Daylight Time) is nice and all that, 'cept that Daylight Savings Time doesn't kick in until the morning of April 3rd.

So... in the interest of avoiding everyone showing up for the draft an hour late... don't you mean CST?

I don't have time to read a 3 page thread. Just tell Biggie how much it costs and count me in.

Dammit, I hope yahoo rankings are kind to me. Heading to the lake, only going to miss three drafts while I'm there. Hopefully the fish are biting.

I'm stacked with closers and that's about it. Thanks autodraft!

Anyone need a closer? Let's trade.

I need a closer badly...I wouldn't mind dealing one of my three ace starters (Oswalt, Hudson, Sheets) and I've got a glut of first basemen and outfielders. Pujols isn't available though.

C A. Pierzynski (CWS - C) An a-hole but an above average offensive catcher
1B M. Teixeira (Tex - 1B) I predict 35 bombs and 115 plus RBI
2B B. Boone (Sea - 2B) Better hitters around him might make up for no more Vitamin S
3B A. Ramírez (ChC - 3B) .300 or better 35-40 HR's and 100 RBI best 3B in the NL, this is the year people forget Scott Rolen because of ARAM
SS K. Matsui (NYM - SS) Very solid numbers in only 110 games last year. IF he stays healthy he will steal 35 plus bases.
OF V. Guerrero (LAA - OF) BEST PLAYER IN BASEBALL. PERIOD.
OF B. Bonds (SF - OF) A total dick, but come May 10th when he's in the line up you'll all wish he was on your team. It's a LOOOONG season to let the best hitter in baseball fall to the 4th round.
OF A. Huff (TB - 1B,3B,OF) Best 3 position player in fantasy ball.
Util M. Alou (SF - OF) Should go .270, 25-30, 90. Solid production from the utility spot.
Util M. Bradley (LAD - OF) I expect a solid season from Bradley and help on the basepaths.
BN T. Iguchi (CWS - 2B) Pick bot's one real bad call.
BN R. Sanders (StL - OF) This guy always starts off hot, so I'm gonna ride that and then trade him to one of you suckers.
BN C. Wilson (Pit - 1B,OF) Could be a break out year for Wilson.

SP R. Harden (Oak - SP) Leads the Cactus league in K's
SP G. Maddux (ChC - SP) The Ace of the Cubs thanks to Dusty Baker destroying Prior and Woods arms
SP Ru. Ortiz (Ari - SP) Could be a bust in AZ, but the Snakes are better than last year so he might get 10 wins
RP F. Cordero (Tex - RP) 49 saves last year. 49 SAVES!!!
RP J. Smoltz (Atl - RP) This guy is the Ace on a WS contender and he fell to the 8th round.
P B. Looper (NYM - RP) 35 saves and good numbers
P C. Cordero (Was - RP) could be a sleeper
P N. Lowry (SF - SP) This will be his break out year. I'm calling it now Lowry will win 15 games.
P B. Lawrence (SD - SP) Won 15 last year and the team has improved.
BN T. Wakefield (Bos - SP) Fun to have around.
BN J. Tavárez (StL - RP) A good behind the scenes stats guy. Gets the WHIP
BN J. Garland (CWS - SP) The jury is out. Not gonna blow you away but if the White Sox get hot he could get rolling and become a big help. Or he might just suck ass and get sent to the waiver wire by May 1st.

My prediction...I win the division going away.

Then looks at stats and realizes how close to the truth 6 might be.

Here ya go...

Rolen= 34 HR's 124 RBI .314 BA .409 OBP .598 SLG 109 R's Defensively he had 10 errors and .977 FP

ARAM= 36 HR's 103 RBI .318 BA .373 OBP .578 SLG 99 R's Defensively he had 10 errors and .969 FP

Rolen is 29 years old ARAM is 26 years old.

The higher RBI number is easily attributed to the fact that Rolen was hitting in a lineup that gave him more chances to drive in runs. Defense is nearly a wash with a slight edge to the more experienced player. But ARAM has shown drastic improvement every year in the league. Put it to ya this way. If the Giants had a choice between Rolen and ARAM. I'd be happy with either but ARAM is close to being Rolen's equal statistically and is 3 years younger than Rolen.

Shortshop--You're team is solid. If Harden emerges, Maddux doesn't drop off, and Smoltz makes a smooth transition back to starter you're starting pitching will be alright. You should get enough saves with your three closers. Ramirez at 3B is strong but take it easy with the comparisons to Rolen. Rolen spend most of September banged up so he could've had even better numbers. Can't complain about the Guerrero-Bonds combo in the outfield.

As for my team...I think I've got to have the best trio of young starters with Hudson, Oswalt and Sheets. If this was a keeper team, I'd be set. Albert will be Albert...I've got him on another fantasy team as well. I'm very weak in the save department with Percival being the only sure-thing closer I've got. I'm not too big on Wright at third but a lot of people rave about him...so who knows there. I'm hoping for bounce-back years from Anderson and Jones. I've got 6 outfielders so hopefully I can find 3 or 4 that are serviceable. I don't have much in the way of steals either but then again, I never draft for steals in fantasy baseball.

I think it's a little too early to tell who will win this league...

Shoalz,

Shortstop will win. Bank on it.

Even though he is trying to compare a very good third baseman to one of the top 5 ever. And using defensive statistics to try and do so.

Thanks, 6. You added some serious entertainment to my week.

Rolen is light years ahead of him with the glove. Don't just bone up on lame assed stats. Mix in a game or two before making such a fool of yourself....

Ramierez loves to 3/4 the ball over to first. People behind 1st base need to pay attention when homes is at 3rd. Aramis may have decent hands but the agility ain't there. When someone bunts on the Cards, barehanded pick up and throw out at first is ROUTINE, not exceptional. Rolen is the better defender by far.

Rolen had a career year last year that likely won't be replicated. Offensively, I'm guessing the two will put up similar stats. That being said, there is absolutely no hesitation when I proclaim Rolen is the better player.
