The article is a good one and points out exactly how these pre WWII pricks don't want anyone else in.
It was another year, another hosing for Ron Santo by guys whose playing abilities are surpassed by their selfishness. The Post-1942 group of voters is comprised of the 64 living Hall-of-Famers. They decided nobody else should get in, Santo coming the closest by falling nine votes short.
