game has changed, obviously, but that Okie 5-2 defense with Lee Roy and Dewey Selmon was pretty strong.

no doubt. only 5 years removed from UT's all-white 1970 team. no matter how AB wanted to spin it, that's fucked up stuff at an institutional level. 1970, OU integrated football in the 50's and Oklahoma isn't exactly the most progressive state. McCain and Bob Dole won Oklahoma.

Got to think the OU integration in the 50's had more to do with winning football games than it did as making a social statement.
