Is there any way to retreive stuff that has been "permanently" deleted in Outlook Express?

I fucked up big time and deleted email addresses of people from three separate poker distribution lists and it's going to be a major PITA to gather them all up again. About 50 email addresses are gone because of my idiocy.

If you restore from a day previous to the day you deleted the stuff, it should come back, right? I'm not a computer guy but you seemed desperate. Any port in a storm, right?

I was able to dig an old email out of my Sent Items folder that had all the info I was looking for.

There is actually a way to recover deleted emails and contacts. The trick is to corrupt the file. Use a hex editor or ms debug.com. Anyway you corrupt the file and then use Outlook to recover a corrupt PST file. It can work to recover some of your emails and contacts. I've used it and it has worked. Search google for 'recovering outlook emails by corrupting pst file' or something similar and see if you get some step by step directions. I think it only works in the newer versions of outlook.
