Re: Speaking of country music...
Wait...who the hell was speaking about country music in the first place?
And can someone tell ABC/ESPN to knock it off with that garbage country shit they played before and during every game, please?
Country music sucks! All of it.

My bad...didn't see it until after I replied here. LOL.
And, yes, contemporary country music sounds the same no matter who's "singing."

Re: Speaking of country music...
Country music sounds the same.....about as much as rock sounds the same. Gotta' listen to a bit. I used to loathe it but some drunken, rowdy times got me to come around on it. Hmm....sounds like a lot of Rock experiences. Then I learned to play guitar. When you do that, you get a new appreciation for all music....and a deeper disrespect for rap/hip hop, which is pure, talentless, unmusical garbage.

I remember you, Dr. Detroit, on SC III, posting on a Saturday nite that you were out, you were going to get your "groove" on.
Still laffing about that.

Country music is a genuine American institution of great beauty and natural spirituality. However, it's been effectively hijacked by Christer cult morons like Toby Keith and Alan Jackson, whose generic caricature tunes of plaintive war mongering lunacy are a feint veil of actual apocalyptic fervor. What...did you think these demented types were just a bad dream? They're here! Praying every day for the blessed Rapture, the harvest of true believers, etc.

I agree with Nicky too. I can't stand about 99.9999% of what is "called" country today. I do like older stuff though form the 70s-early 90s. I think it was mid 90s when we started to get this "new country". Kinda like new coke. Bad idea and we should go back.

People don't usually call this "country" but it's light years better than most of what passes for "country" these days...

10 gauge. Pretty light tension. Good for bending. Yes they occasionally break....but not because of too much tension.Dr_Phibes wrote:I've got visions of over-tightened strings snapping and poking someone in the eye.Mustang wrote: Then I learned to play guitar.
