Still not too sure what to make of Miami, but they have looked good thus far.

I know what to make of Miami. They're freaking good. Especially that offensive line, and Jacory Harris is about as poised as it gets.

Jacory Harris is putting himself in the Heisman running. They look like the Miami of old. It really is a shame that they have such a powerhouse down there in Miami. Nobody cares down there. I watched the Miami-Ohio State national title game at a sports bar down there and nobody gave a fuck. There was no buzz around town about tbe game either. They deserve a program like FIU, not like Miami. It's very similar to USC, except people at least pretend to care when USC is good in LA. Neither fan base has very many die-hards but at least USC fans care when the team is winning. Miami fan doesn't ever care. It's a real shame either of those programs are good. Would much rather see a real fan base have teams like that.

I don't care about the tailgating. The fact they can't sell out a 76K stadium vs a top 15 conference opponent in a game that's on national tv tells the story.

I want to see how they do once some one gets pressure on Harris and he doesnt have 8-10 secs to find a reciever.

my .02 on the matter

Hell yea I think the canes are back, they aren't the dominate team we saw back in 01 and 02 but they are back. Their dline is going to fvck up who ever is quarterbacking for the sooners. Not sure how good fsu and g-tech are but their oline dominated both of those. I like that tall thin RB they have, his running style reminds me of Marcus Allen.

Their QB is already a bit overrated, I saw him throw up some ducks that made sophmore VY look like John Elway. However much like guys like Tee Martin, James Brown, and even Crouch, his passing is good enough to get the job done.

As far as their attendance goes miami fans are a lot like SoCal fans, they will come when the team is good, but disappear when they suck.

btw, I liked when Holtz said at halftime: "Don't underestimate Texas Tech's ability to throw the football."

This is why I am having a hard time getting a read on Miami right now. The FSU game is a rivalry game and both teams played pretty poor defensively in that one. Miami then has 10 days to prepare for GT who is playing their 3rd game in 12 days and is as one dimensional as they come. Hell, when GT threw the ball they got big gains out of it.

The next 2 weeks should really show if they have returned or not. I have been very impressed by Harris. Can't believe he didn't win the job over Marve last season.

I'll be interested to see the outcome of that game. WVU has struggled a bit their first 2 games.

You saw it last night- every time GT blitzed Harris he ALWAYS got the ball out, and often to the correct hot read. The kid is LEGIT.

Speaking of Gramps Holtz, am I the only one that wants to throw my coffee table at my TV every time they do that fucking stupid "Dr. Lou" segment at halftime? For fuck's sake that's the dumbest thing ESPN has done since "ESPN Hollywood".

Harris definitely brings an exciting game to the table. I miss the pass-oriented Canes of old...looks like he'll bring them back.
