Iowa-Arizona PET

Post by TheJON »

Never really taken many photos at Iowa games just because I'm at every game but I figured I would take a bunch tomorrow and post them here. But I'm a dumbass, so could somebody help a brotha out and tell me how the heck I upload them from my Blackberry onto here?

What's wrong with photo quality from a Blackberry? They always come out well at least on my phone. I know how to upload them to my Facebook because it gives me the option to automatically upload them. I don't even know where my digital camera is.

Don't forget to wear black, Mace. I'm thinking about wearing a bright orange shirt just to fuck up the Blackout. I prefer a Goldout. Looks much better. Though I don't really care what the fans wear as long as the Hawks spoil Stoops' return.

I don't know. This game could go either way. What's the spread? If it's more than 8 points, take Zona. 8 points or less, I'd stay the fuck away from it either way.

Real proud of this teams effort and performance today.

Stanzi again struggled the first half but picked it up 2nd half. Defense was amazing. Put a ton of pressure up front all second half. Arizona's offense consisted of a couple of big plays and a garbage TD drive when the game was over.

Offensively, to be without your #1 WR, LT, TE, and RG (well, he played a couple of possessions) against a decent defense and still manage to score 27 points........not too shabby.

This team is really coming together and our depth is starting to show. Guys are stepping in for injured/suspended players and making the most of their opportunity. I knew this was going to be a pretty good team, but if you would have told me we would essentially be without our #1 RB, WR, TE, LT, and RG for all or most of the first 3 games, I would have said we would be 1-2 at this point.

This team has not quite reached their potential, but once we get everyone back..........this is the BEST team in the Big-10 and I believe when it is all said and done you MIGHT see the Hawkeyes in Pasadena come January!

I don't know who will win the Iowa-State Penn game on Saturday. I think it's a Pick 'em. But there is absolutely NO doubt in my mind that if Iowa wins............it will not be an upset. I also believe the winner of this game will end up as at least co-champs.

7 game win streak dating back to the Penn State game last season. If we don't jump into the Top 25, it's a joke. Has ANY team regardless of who they played and the scores of their games EVER started the season 3-0 after being a preseason Top 25 team and NOT been ranked? Fuck that bullshit. This is a very good football team, and to be 3-0 with wins over 2 BCS opponents considering the injuries and suspensions we've had.........no shame in that!

Got some really bad photos to post tomorrow when I get around to it. Was too lazy to actually take decent photos. I blame the booze!

Iowa just beat the worst team in the PAC10.... by 10 points... AT HOME

... and midwest fan thinks he'll win the Big 10 ???

Maybe so.... but, Cal has NEVER lost to a Big 10 team under Tedford.

6-0.

Cal owns College Football.

By "worst", I think you mean "middle of the pack".

That said, you should probably watch games before commenting on them dumbass.......... We kicked the shit out of them. They got a Pick 6 on a bad throw early and a garbage TD with 2 minutes to go. Otherwise, that was a complete ass kicking. And we were without our best offensive players.
Maybe so.... but, Cal has NEVER done shit under Tedford.
I agree.

Stanzi was fine in the 2nd half. I just can't figure out why it takes him a half of football to get going. He makes a lot of clutch throws. He did last year as well. When we need a first down or a big play, he makes it. But he also makes bad throws in the first half seemingly every week. The ISU game would have been an even bigger ass kicking if he doesn't make those 2 bad throws and yesterday in the first half he had a couple of bad throws that were the only reason it wasn't a beatdown by halftime.

After watching the non-conference portion of the season for Big-10 teams, there is no doubt in my mind what team has the most potential, and that's Iowa. We are Stanzi's early game mistakes away from being a complete team. Our RB's are solid, our O-line is solid even though it's banged up, our WR corps is deep (though we do need DJK in there), we have 2 very good TE's, the D-line is very good, the LB's are good, and this is Ferentz' best secondary despite all the injuries/suspensions. On top of that, we've got an overall good special teams unit.

Every other Big-10 team has at least a few question marks. I think next weeks gameplan will be similar to yesterday. Test the Penn State secondary early, hope Stanzi makes throws, and then use that to set up the run later in the game. I think we will let Royster run much like we did Alexander Robinson. Norm knows that Royster's 100 yards on the ground isn't going to be close to enough to win this game and that PSU's inexperienced WR's are going to have to be consistent.

I am guessing Penn State will be favored, but as I really think over this matchup, I think this is a very good matchup for Iowa. If Stanzi comes out firing early, I think Iowa could coast to a win. If he doesn't, it will go down to the wire. But even on the road, I like this football team in a close game because we have a QB that makes clutch throws and a defense that makes plays when they have to.

Early prediction is Iowa 24 Penn State 17, but as the week goes on I might change that.

m2ool showed up at my door begging for me to buy DirecTV with Qwest internet bundled. He had a real moving story about how he was about to be kicked out of his apartment and he desperately needed sales.

To make a long story short...........

I told him I don't buy anything from a queer and kept my Mediacomm internet/cable.
