Romo sucks cack until he wins a playoff game. There's not enough 300 yard games to make up for the crap he displayed last night.

Re: Lessons From Week 2
Andy Reid would have rather gotten a 3rd string QB into a shootout with Drew Brees instead of working the clock and running the ball more. What a great coach we have.
Re: Lessons From Week 2
Todd Haley is CLEARLY a rookie head coach.

That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

...Oh you're a RavenFan this week ey Duane. But for a blown call on pass interference, the Bolts beat the Ravens and then what are you saying...the ravens are pretenders? You jackass...no wait, you're no Jackass! The Bolts played the Ravens right down to the wire with there all-pro nose tackle out for the year and half their offensive line out. Anyone who says they are pretneders should not be posting in this forum. Check back in 6-7 weeks Duane...in the meantime reach around and try pulling your head out.PISC wrote:The Chargers are still a pretender.

Re: Lessons From Week 2
I'm going to agree with ChargerMike. Chargers aren't in the pretender category. I'm pretty sure the Ravens were glad to get out of here.
Re: Lessons From Week 2
The Bucs suck...oh wait, we knew that before the season started
Go Bucs, Gators
Re: Lessons From Week 2
If the Bolts had been able to score when in the "red zone" they wouldn't have needed that last TD. Right now they look like a good team in need a game plan and some decent coaching. Maybe I'm just bitter after watching that loss but I have a feeling that even with all of their first string they would have found a way go fuck it up.ChargerMike wrote:...Oh you're a RavenFan this week ey Duane. On the other hand the Chargers are not as good as I thought they would be this season. There won't be too many easy wins this year with an Oline that can't run block, & a Dline that can't pressure the QB in crunch time. The Chargers aren't much different from Indy, take away Manning or Rivers, & there isn't much left that is elite.

Re: Lessons From Week 2
Not going to argue whether Rivers is or isn't an "elite" QB, the results speak for themselves, but dude sure does have a strange throwing motion. At times, it almost looks like he's shot putting the ball with that double hitch.
Again, not going to argue with results. The ball gets there, just not sure how. Very unconventional.

So, a not so elite team almost beat the Ravens? The Chargers overcame some adversity yesterday: Norv, mistakes, penalties, Norv, the refs, Norv, injuries, Norv.Joe in PB wrote:trev wrote:I'm going to agree with ChargerMike. Yea, what direction could The Eagles go each week and what will Reid have to say? Well, I got Mcnabb this year so hopefully they don't fuck it up too much.
..coulda, shoulda, woulda, Mikey. You're going to come at me with a fucking call, you PUSSY! Uh no anyone that annually claims these guys are a contender shouldn't be posting on this board because they aren't. They're a fucking SOFT AFC West team that can't hang in January against teams that knock their dick in the dirt. Speaking of which, The Ravens are even losing their ability to do that league wide but they sure brought it when they needed it against your girls. Cry me a fucking river who's out bitch, since when did you find those crutches acceptable, hypocrite?
Um, for you and the other clueless, if you think Baltimore or just about any CONTENDER is going to look the same in two months as they do now, you're a bigger nimrod than I thought. So what you think Baltimore's peaked and won't be able to handle the new and improved Chargers come NOV/DEC? Bitch who gives a fuck, I have seen your team in January plenty and the only team they can beat of any note is The Colts. Woo fucking hoo.
The Chargers are a PRETENDER, I am not just saying this today, I said it before the season, I said it last season, I will say it every season until I see them prove otherwise when it counts. Anyone that thinks otherwise is an idiot and I do expect to see them posting on this board because you just did. LOL you make that mention like this is the elite of all boards as if calling the pussy ass chargers a fraud is the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen posted here.
Oh btw, congrats to all that took the CAR under for the season. With NFC East and a .500 division record.....dreaming of a .500 season right now...it's not looking good. Oh and that's another played and tired card Mikey. I have proclaimed my Raven fanhood for nearly a decade and have never jumped off Carolina's wagon even after 1-15. The story is well known and I have never swayed.
If it makes you feel any better, I drafted Sproles with my 4th pick in my keeper league.
Get that jackasses, Gore, AP, MJD, and Sproles to start my year. That's how you draft over the years baby. Not that I have won dick but hey my team looks good on paper. :x
How 'bout that mark Sanchez Scott? Bwahahahahahaha!
...so is this Collie kid gonna do anything tonight?

It's going to be Chinese Water Torture for Bolt fan this season.
The team isn't gawd awful, but it also isn't really very good.
But Bolt fan wants to cling to the idea that they are a good team.
Drip by drip ... the lesson that you're just not very good ... will sink into your forehead.
Losing J. Williams hurts your defense a bunch.
Roid Merriman doesn't have it.
The O-Line is in trouble.
LT is in sure decline.
Norv is an O-Coordinator.
You'll hang around in the soft West, but this Bolt team is very mediocre.

Since you root for two teams, you've earned a double popsicle.

Psssssst mv, you've already broken a sweat when you have to produce a late 4th quarter drive to beat the Raiders.mvscal wrote:If by "hang around," you mean walk away with it without breaking a sweat then, yes, they will hang around.poptart wrote:You'll hang around in the soft West, but this Bolt team is very mediocre.

If Jeff Reed makes those two makeable kicks, even that effort would not have been good enough.Mace wrote:That Jay Cutler can throw 4 picks and look like shit or play like an all-pro QB in beating the Steelers. Looks like an up and down year for the Bears unless Cutler consistently plays like he did on Sunday.
And that's about the only consolation I can take from that abortion of an effort by my team. Oh well, there is always next week.

Re: Lessons From Week 2
The Texans showed me they are not a team that will simply bend over and let teams ram it up their ass on Sunday. The defense had three blown assignments and it cost the Texans dearly; however, they responded in the second half with nasty defense and intestinal fortitude to eek a close game out on the road against a division opponent. The Texans were 0-6 against division foes on the road for the last two seasons. Not only that but they are only 4-12 on the road over the past two seasons as well. For them to win on the road against a legit opponent makes this team different than Texans teams in years past.
At least I know now that last week's loss to the Jets wasn't a fluke. Revis shutdown 'Dre Johnson and Randy Moss in consecutive weeks. Wow.
The Texans now need to make sure they don't have that pesky let down game they are so accustomed to after a big win. Fix the blown assignments and this team could have the complete package.
