Good game, State played better and deserved the win. The young guys showed their youth in their first roadie of their cfb careers. On the bright side the late rally to sent the game to ot was impressive. Tate lived by the risky pass and eventually dies by it, but that kid put the team on his back the last 4+ minutes of regulation. Where the hell was the running game? This game is almost always won by the team that rushes the ball more effectively, and it held true today.
Again, nice game State, good win, may be the beginning of a turnaround.

Re: Props to Sparty
Classy post, Steve. Good game. My posturing against Forceeyay was just that - posturing. The guy is the real deal. He played spirited ball. MSU's d is designed to stop the run, which is why I relished going up against a team like Michigan, though I admit I'm surprised guys like Brown and Minor didn't get off at least a little bit. Odoms looked solid, guy is a playmaker. When the game went into OT I was thinking Same Old Spartans, but Tate proved he was human on the road. That was inevitable when you think about it. Rooks are bound to make rookie mistakes on the road. It was almost a mirror image of Cousins on the road at ND - single-handedly kept his team in the game but made a bad decisison at the end that cost his team.
