Van, I think Shipley fair caught that ball at the 7 because there were two Bama gunners already standing behind him ready to down it at the 1. Shipley made a judgement call there to prevent his frosh teammate from having to start from the worst position. Just sayin'

Credit to Bama's defense by coming up with the two huge turnovers and getting 14 points off of them.

That is the difference right there.

I'd say both offenses were about the same. Bama had the better ground game, but Texas was much better through the air.
