SCOTUS Rules In Favor of First Amendment

Re: SCOTUS Rules In Favor of First Amendment
That is all beside the point that the federal government should not be dictating to the states what they can and can not do.
If a state wants to treat a corporation like an individual, let them. If they don't let them do that too.

For the record, the case probably hinged on the Obama administration's insistence that they had the right to ban books.
As long as the publisher was incorporated, of course.

Also for the record, mvscal is pulling the typical dodge I described weeks ago in another thread when everyone was lapping his cock about how "nails" he is.
He has kicked his own ass in this thread and I am happy to have been the one who pointed it out.

You just watched "The Matrix" again, didn't you.BSmack wrote:Corporate personhood will be the end of American liberty.88 wrote:Sorry to disappoint. Would it be appropriate to tip back a glass of wine and be appreciative that the Court did it's job and prohibited Congress from taking fundamental rights away from its citizens?

Activist judges.
RACK 'em when they're on our side. Otherwise, string 'em up.
sin,
...oh wait never mind. I promised myself to drop all politics.

Coast is clear over here.
But not for long. I'm watching Alex Jones "The Fall of the Republic".
Black helicopters and hilarity will ensue in the next few weeks.

Right now I'm reading Farewell My Lovely.
Seriously thinking of dropping my current job and becoming a private dick. Marlowe is just so cool.

I like the way libs are spinning this as an "activist judge" decision.Mikey wrote:Activist judges.

How is it activist? Is it activist simply because SCOTUS has been getting it wrong over the last century?
Maybe THEY were the activists.
I got a kick out of some whiney bitch on the tube last night crying about how this goes against a century of SCOTUS precedent.
is he implying that precedent is the litmus test? how fukking regressive of him.

I mean U.S. precedent, not Obama's role models.
