Cheap cell phone plans

Our ATT contract expires in a few months. No fukking way I wanna continue to pay 100 bucks/month. The wife and I use our phones now and then and get this, being old folks we are capable and willing to actual talk through them just like you did in the olden days. My daughter, like most 18 year olds hasn't mastered this art too good and needs texting. lots of texting.

I am leaning toward having her get her own damn plan with all the bells and whistles while my wife and i go back to a basic plan with very limited free minutes.

Any of you fukks out there with similar needs have any recommendations other than GFYJO?

I am paying $ 180 a month for 2 phones through ATT. Unlimited everything, not that we use it up.

The wife gets reimbursed from her job since she uses the phone for that, so that helps out.

I use my cell phone for my new gig as an independent sales rep, so at some time in the future will be using some time. Like ATT's coverage. I had to keep one business line for fax at $ 35 a month cause some people in business are still too stupid, cheap and lazy to go to scanning documents into PDF's for e mailing to get away from the outdated fax machines.

Call them up and get an attitude with them and see what they can do..they usually back pedal pretty fast when you threaten to bail on them.

And I would dump that daughters phone off there real fast and make her start paying her own cell phone bill. Novel idea..I know. It is so nice when the kids all get older and pay for their own shit...

I have a cell that I use only for my wife to call me at work and for my side job of sport's official/umpire. cost= $40 a month. Plain phone--no camera or anything else. If I had a teenager in these days there is no way they would be running up $$$ bills texting or what not. You're a parent not a buddy. If they work after school to pay for it, let them be stupid.

Righttttttt....my kids have had 2 to 4 phones to my one. My one phone, the military spec Samsung that functions after being dropped, then ran over by a tractor, and dropped in water from 8 feet up on the excavator,that one is doing real well, probably up until the contract renews and I HAVE to get another one, while their precious I phones screen cracks like a DC n..oggers crack pipe, then they melt like pussies until they can get a new one..right away of course.

Try that with your Iphone on roids....these new phones that make grown men and women act like fucking 2 year olds at Christmas when they get them...for $ 400 or so of course.

Anyways, I pay $142(fuck me running) to sprint every month for a family plan that consists of 1500 shared minutes, free night and weekends I think, unlimited texting for my 16 y.o stepson and data down loads too, so he can send pics I guess(probably porn,... I hope not..., but rack him if he can enjoy it on a 2" screen I guess).

So last month(Im looking at my bill)...I used 53 minutes of time...my wife used 156 minutes and my step son used 498 minutes with 4,732 texts.
Thats nice. I think he had over 10,000 texts one month if i remember right.

$100 bucks a month isn't so much for any decent service plan that includes more than two phones... what's the problem, ya' fucking cheapskate?

We've used T-Mobile since 2001 and no complaints here. They love us. Sent us a letter saying we were among the top 5% of all their longtime customers so we get free upgrades every year or so. Just have to extend the contract a year or two, which we would've done anyway. Wifey got a $350 Blackberry phone, daughter has replaced hers several times (she wears them out texting). All at no cost.

100 bones a month ain't bad.....for 3 heavy phone users. that ain't us. my daughter wears out her keypad texting as well, btu, the wife and i use our phones sparingly and only as voice phones. i think i should be able to do this for about 50/month.
