ANTHEM!!!
Think of soaring, razor edged guitar licks, with crazy high pitched vocals, and a wickedly perfect beat.
Know your place in life is where you want to be,
Don't let them tell you that you owe it all to me.
Keep on looking forward; no use in looking 'round;
Hold your head above the ground and they won't bring you down.
Anthem of the heart and anthem of the mind
A funeral dirge for eyes gone blind
We marvel after those who sought
The wonders of the world, wonders of the world,
Wonders of the world they wrought.
Live for yourself -- there's no one else
More worth living for
Begging hands and bleeding hearts will only cry out for more
Well, I know they've always told you
Selfishness was wrong
Yet it was for me, not you, I came to write this song
(chorus)

^^^^^^^^^ Whack lyrics above.
"Once upon a time, dinosaurs didn't have families. They lived in the woods and ate their children. It was a golden age."

Yea. So what? If her writing had anything to do with Rush's lyrics, then we need look no further in our search for why Rush blows.

Please do elaborate. Both Rush and Ayn Rand are terminaly boring and turgid reads/listens. That I do not like either hardly qualifies as KYOA.
PS: Though, I will give Rush props up to Moving Pictures for producing some interesting material. After that is a wasteland of vast sucking noises.

Anthem is a good tune, but By-Tor And The Snowdog, In The End and Making Memories are better songs off of Fly By Night.

Yes, they did a song called
Rush Lyrics - (fr: http://www.lyricsondemand.com )
Making Memories Lyrics
There's a time for feelin' as good as we can
The time is now, and there's no stoppin' us
There's a time for livin' as high as we can
Behind us you will only see our dust.
You know we're havin' good days
And we hope they're gonna last
Our future still looks brighter than our past
We feel no need to worry
No reason to be sad
Our mem'ries remind us, maybe road life's not so bad.
Just keep smilin', move onward every day
And try to keep our thoughts away from home
We're trav'lin' around, no time to settle down
And satisfy our wanderlust to roam.
Well from sea to shining sea, and a hundred points between
Still we go on diggin' ev'ry show
The cities in the land all extend a welcome hand
Till morning when it's time for us to go.
From - Fly By Night.
