A young woman not interviewed by authorities claims the quarterback pulled his pants down and told her she could "do whatever she wants," according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation report.
She should have kicked him in the nuts.

I think the personal conduct offense would be to use his status, fame and money in order to go into clubs and wave his penis back and forth.

You're obviously confusing me with BSmack. I'm not a fan of the drunken rapist. Idiot.

I heard there's a new sandwich available in Pittsburgh called the Roethlisberger. The meat's on the outside.

...over and over and over again, yes. That is all that is needed. What is this supposed to be nothing more than some wide ranging conspiracy to get Big Rapist in trouble? The pattern of behavior is quite clear. Ben drinks, Ben pulls out his cock. Sometimes it works, but if it doesn't....well, Ben has a learning disability where he thinks 'NO' means 'plow my snatch and shoot off on my chest'.

Why are you sucking his dick?

Which neither you nor anyone in the NFL knows to be the case. See, if the D.A. in Georgia had proof that Ben even did that, Ben could be brought up on charges.

He wasn't. So it's safe to assume that no such thing happened.

Oh, and trev, one doesn't need status, fame or money to go into a club and wave one's penis back and forth. One merely needs a club and a penis. What, you don't think half the 'members' of this board haven't done so? You think your boyfriend mvscal wasn't doing that very thing last night, with Dins as his wingman?

If the guy was a creep who made crude sexual remarks, why would you later go back to the VIP area with him?

Verrah dumb idea

A week later, the woman attended another party thrown by Roethlisberger.

They're not, and yet they can still go to a club, whip out their penii and wave them around. The point is that they don't need to be Super Bowl stars with money, status and fame in order to do those things...since that was the bizarre point you attempted to make with this...
trev wrote:I think the personal conduct offense would be to use his status, fame and money in order to go into clubs and wave his penis back and forth.
In Dins's case, just like a proper Geico pitchman, he can apparently pummel mofos in clubs about the head and shoulders with his knobby shillelagh, and he has only infamy attached to his name, not fame, along with precious little in the way of status or moolah.

Except we would be bounced out on our ears and the odds of an off duty cop running interference while we raped a coed in the bathroom are infintesimal.

You still haven't explained why you are sucking on Big Rapist's dick.

Van, my point is and I'm pretty sure an employer can hold you to a certain standard. Especially a high profile NFL quarterback. Quit spinning. His personal conduct will be dealt with by the Steelers. Or not? I don't know what they will do.

And Joe Shmoe can't just show up to any club and serve several drinks in a VIP room.

mvscal, I've maintained the same stance since Day One: Innocent until proven guilty. Lacking any charges, all we have are specious accusations. Specious accusations that amount to nothing should not be held against a person, and that's true whether we're talking about you, me, Ben or anyone else. Before someone attempts to remove $500,000 from another person's paycheck, they'd better have more of a reason for doing so than a baseless accusation that was dismissed by the very people who determine the truth behind such accusations. Whether it's right or wrong in fact, no proof means a person must be viewed as innocent, because there is no other consistent standard by which guilt or innocence may be judged. If we attempt to apply any other arbitrary, "gut feel" standard, where does it all end?

I don't know or even care whether Ben did any of this shit. It's just another news story to me; one that's no different than reading about some celebrity getting busted for a DUI, or Oprah losing fifty pounds. I don't give a fuck. My only issue with the whole thing is the kneejerk reaction to rush to judgment simply because it's a flashy story. People want it to be true, so they assume it's true. People love to see celebrities get torn down, and if in fact the guy is proven to be innocent, the apologies and retractions are mere whispers buried on the back pages of of the paper, while the accusations are blared above the fold of the front page.

If that doesn't bother you, oh well.

I'd love to see Ben take it to court, then see what happens. For the league to arbitrarily decide to withhold hundreds of thousands of dollars from a guy due to a mere accusation that was dismissed by the authorities as lacking proof, well, I can see the league suspending him, but not without pay.

I could easily see Ben steamrolling them in court, including damages. I doubt he will, yet I'd love to see it if he did.
Quit spinning.
I haven't spun a single fucking thing. You're the one who keeps moving the bar. I've said the exact same thing from the outset: Innocent until proven guilty. All your frantic handwringing and pious judgments mean fuckall to me in the face of any lack of proof beyond your heartfelt desire that the girl be proven correct.
And Joe Shmoe can't just show up to any club and serve several drinks in a VIP room.
Of course he can. If he pays for the room and drinks, he can avail himself to the VIP room. Why couldn't he? Joe Schmoes do it every day.

Van, I honestly don't care much about this myself. You've actually put more words and energy into it than I have. He said, she said at this point. Did he get away with something? Maybe. Was she a dumb, young idiot? Looks like it.

And no, mvscal might be able to, but dinsdale can NOT afford a VIP room.

Ben has already indicated that he is willing to accept the consequences. The consequences for what? For doing nothing wrong? No, he knows he fucked up, and that he’s lucky to be getting off with only a suspension.

Van,

Once again, innocent until proven guilty works in the court of law. Not in a private organization. If you don't understand that, it's not worth debating with you.

When the matter involves contracts and sums in the millions of dollars, civil law may still come into play, and I'd love to see him take the NFL to court over this.

He's not going to bother, however, so c'est la vie.

Most guys who have NFL talent don't spend too much time developing into gentlemen...some do, but most don't.
