Me either.

There were Native Americans, though -- and they lost their land by force.

Seeing how that very simple analogy works, douchetwat?
They didn't consider the land to be "their" land. They were one with the land and coexisted with it.

If anybody owned the land at that time it was probably Gramdmother Tree.

They never fought amongst themselves before the Europeans came.
They lived a peaceful and prosperous life because there was always plenty of game and forage to go around.

Just wanted to set things straight about how the Native Americans actually lived.
please tell me you're trolling.

i know you're a lefty hippie and all but, i thought you were at least a fairly bright one.

humans everywhere have scrapped over stuff pretty much since we've been around.

why?

don't know, but, we do, just like pretty much every other species on the planet.

the injuns are no different.

BTW -- the natives in the valley I live in used to burn down the forest to make more room for the roots and berries they ate to grow. They had a big beef with trees.

They used to gill net small streams for 4 or 5 years straight until "the gods took all the fish away."

The U&L natives were a bunch of environmental butchers (who then started butchering Whitey when he showed up).

I can't believe Mikey even posted that horseshit.

Uhm, Mikey -- you DO know that the Mohawks used to kill and eat each other and their enemies, right? The practice was stopped before Columbus ever showed up.

And that influx will increase pressure on already strained social services in those states which will necesarily result in more state laws of this nature. It might also embarass the Feds into getting off their fucking asses and doing their jobs.

The situation on the southern border is so far out of fucking control that it is going to take the military to secure it.

Marty,

You got a problem with this situation?

Spic: speeding

Cop: pulls over spic So, why were you speeding tonight?

Spic: No hablo Ingles!

Cop: Senior, muéstrame alguna identificación!

Spic: No ID!

Cop: Back to Mexico for you.

Of course, you have no problem with this scenario. Does not affect your Cannuk ass. You just love playing libtard because the AZ law is beneficial to us taxpayers who support these illegal scabs.

You qualify your argument by assuming the ID check will always follow a legitimate police stop.

I'm asking, how do you spot the alien, to ask them for ID in the first place to know if their legal or not?

You're begging for a national;, biometric ID card, aren't you?

I never get stopped by cops, yet I always "carry papers" anyway. I always have my ID on me. If I can be bothered to "carry papers," then why wouldn't someone who's likely to get stopped also carry papers?

I sure as hell wouldn't care if I were stopped by a cop who asked me to show my ID. I'd just show it to him, he'd run a quick check on me, and we'd both be back on our way.

I also don't care if a cop wants to search my car or home. I have nothing to hide, and after they're through with me the likelihood is that they'll leave me alone from then on.

On the other hand, if I don't have legal residency here and I do have something to hide, then yes, I suppose I would be rather irked at having a cop stop me to ask for ID.

Too fucking bad. If you cannot prove you belong here, you don't belong here. You're either legal or you're not. If you're not, STFU and take whatever treatment you receive at the hands of those citizens whose laws you're violating.

A) You have never seen a house after the cops came in and 'looked around' have you?

B) Client of mine was asked to search his car, he said no and the cop replied with the standard "hiding something' meme. So my guy says "no and I'll tell you what. Let me rummage thru your OL's panties drawer first, then let me see your txt log and your grandma's medicine cabinet and we have a deal." There was no search. I still needle the cop from time to time about it.

Really, B? Go be really obvious in breaking some laws then, and let us know how it goes.

I'd suggest starting with never paying taxes and burning all your ID. Remove all evidence that you're a legal citizen, then go live accordingly. Maybe get into a car wreck while you're partying like a rock star, and to cap it off, make certain that you're uninsured when you pile your hooptie into some housewife's minivan loaded with kids.

Once you're finally released from jail, maybe you might attend an MLB baseball game in Philadelphia, where I'd suggest you hop out onto the field and attempt to run up and shake the hand of Chase Utley.

Goobs, when you're in law enforcement working near the border of a country that's fairly hemorrhaging illegals into your neighborhood, define "unreasonable" as it pertains to ascertaining the legal status of Hispanic people you encounter on the street.

My guess is that you're not likely to stop the Hispanic man wearing a fine suit while driving his Benz in downtown Phoenix. Now, should you happen upon sixteen indigent-looking Hispanics loitering in front of Home Depot, that would seem to me to be a "reasonable" reason for you to request that they produce proof of their legal status in this country.

B, yes, I am. Our nation was built on force and the ability to impose our will; something Mexico and its bedraggled citizenry streaming over our borders cannot do to us. Once our country was founded, we've always been a nation of laws. Some were enforced more strictly than others, sure, but for you to try and excuse what's going on now with the premise that we aren't a law-abiding nation is truly ridiculous.

Goobs, in places along the border where illegals are highly prevalent, no, I wouldn't have a problem with random roadblocks and checkpoints. I also wouldn't have a problem with mvscal's suggestion (prediction) of letting the military lock up our southern border once and for all. As citizens of this country, we have a right to expect our federal government to curtail the unlawful entry into this country of illegal aliens. If they are unwilling to do so, I see no problem with the state taking it upon themselves.

Where is the problem? Like 88 said, in what other country could you expect to go and blatantly flaunt your illegal status the way illegals do here? Every time I hear some nonsense about how this bill will severely damage our relationship with Mexico, I'm thinking, "So? BFD. It should be damaged. Why the fuck should we care what they think about this issue? Clean up your own house, Mexico. If we don't want your trash thrown into our yard, that's tough shit for you. Don't complain to us about it when we catch you doing it."
