He's not widely known outside of the Gulf Coast area, and he pretty much prefers to keep it that way, although he has won a couple Grammys for songwriting. Gonna play his new CD, American Patchwork, in its entirety in a few moments, and I invite you to listen in. May make you a big fan as well. Or you may decide he's a talentless hack.
