i REALLY hope Nolan is able to keep Lee. If he goes to the yankees i think my head will explode.Toddowen wrote:
Just think of how OVER the entire postseason would be if Cliff Lee was still in Philly
If? It's a done deal, man. Lee has said time and again he loves to pitch on the big stage. If the Yankees lose to the Rangers, they will see it as #1 priority to get him so he can't beat them again. Nolan's response to the reporter who asked him how much he thinks it will take to sign Lee was classic: "Ask the Yankees."Moby Dick wrote:i REALLY hope Nolan is able to keep Lee. I've always loved Nolan Ryan.IndyFrisco wrote: Nolan's response to the reporter who asked him how much he thinks it will take to sign Lee was classic: "Ask the Yankees."
That wasn't the reason they lost last night. You can pin that loss on Girardi. There was no reason to intentionally walk a batter with 2 outs and no runner on thrid base. Burnett had pitched quite well up to that point.Laxplayer wrote:The inability to score with the bases loaded have fucking killed the Yanks
Me too. I just wish he was involved with my Astros instead of the Rangers. I've never really dug into it, but have always wondered why Nolan chose the Rangers over the Astros as to which team he wanted to associate himself with after his career ended.Moby Dick wrote:I've always loved Nolan Ryan.
