The huskies are going to a BCS bowl....

Post by smackaholic »

...to get abused like dan vogel's OL when mvscal comes calling.

Damn does their QB suck out loud or what?

Good thing they have a place kicker that will play in the NFL if last night's performance is any indication. Rack that dude.

And Rack the skinny walk on USF qb. That kid ain't bad. When he hits puberty in a few years he could get better. How the fukk does he have to walk on somewhere? Can't imagine there wasn't a D1 program somewhere that made him an offer.

Nice, a 4 loss team earns a BCS bowl while a team like Boise St. can go pack sand.

It's not just that they have 4 loses. A team could have four loses and still be pretty damn good, if their schedule was tough enough.

UConn simply ain't that good. And the Big East as a football conference is the suck.

Automatic bids are a joke, but, then again the entire NCAA football MNC system is and always has been a joke.

Lets have a proper playoff system, finally.

WTF does the NCAA continue to ignore this potential cash cow?

Because it's all about the powers that be protecting their own sacred cash cows and making sure nobody else gets to share in it.

That makes no sense wags. they could still have their freaking bowl games. just make them part of an actual playoff system.

If I were a gambling man, I'd be betting that Stanford winds up playing OU in the Fiesta Bowl, with UConn playing Va Tech in the Orange Bowl.

Unless the Sugar Bowl reallyreallyreally wants TCU, in which case Stanford winds up in the Rose Bowl and UConn winds up in the Fiesta Bowl.

OU and Stanford did play in last year's Sun Bowl. repeat might have some effect on final match-up.

This time (hopefully) Luck will play a part in the game.

For the record -- this is CFB... it's "UCONN."

The Huskies are a team that's actually won a championship and a zillion big bowls.

And I hate them.

True, I forgot about that. I was thinking that Stanford might not travel particularly well a considerable distance from campus.

If the BCS had wanted to get the best possible matchups from the teams it invited, the matchups probably should've looked like this:

Rose: Wisconsin vs. Stanford
Sugar: TCU vs. Arkansas
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. Ohio State
Orange: Va Tech vs. UConn (this would be the worst game of the set, but it's probably somewhat appropriate to have the two lowest-ranked teams facing off, particularly where there's such a significant drop-off).

Swap TCU and tOSU if you prefer, but on balance I prefer it like this.

Dins, I knew referring to them as the huskies would get a rise out of a U&Ler or two.

Get over it. They been the huskies since '34 and I will continue to call them that....even here in the BTPCFF where they might be mistaken for an actual BTPCFT.

BTW, I am gonna go ahead and set the early line on this game ohhhh about +41 1/2 UConn.
