Props to Auburn and Oregon

Post by Mace »

...for taking care of business and hopefully giving us a great championship game to watch in January. Looking forward to it. Right now, I'll take Auburn to pull off what will likely be called an upset.

I was rooting for chaos. It's never good when the BCS suits get what they want. Well, except for the fans of two particular schools...

From what I've seen of the two I've been much more impressed with Allbarn. I think they get it done.

Yeah, I would've loved see those guys freak out if an NQ school somehow snuck into the top 2. I can't really bitch about the fact that two teams out of power conferences finish unbeaten and stomped mudholes into most of their opponents.

Considering how both teams like to go off in the second half...I think the last 30 minutes of that game is going to be fun to watch (and take 3 hours).

Was hoping they'd both lose, while realizing that would be next to impossible.

Would it then be TCU vs. Stanford in the NCG, even though Oregon beat Stanford and won the Pac 10 title?

I think Stanford could've ended up ahead of them in the BCS because their loss would've been to a 1-loss Oregon compared to Oregon's loss being against a 6-6 Oregon State team. The Pac-10 has a round-robin so they have the same conference schedule strength. Neither team played a knockout OOC schedule...Tennessee was Oregon's best opponent at 6-6 and Stanford had Notre Dame at 7-5. Each played mediocre teams from the Big West and each had stinkers on the FBS side with Wake Forest (3-9) against Stanford and New Mexico (1-11) against Oregon. That would've interested to see how that would've shaken out.

Absolutely. Then they're forced to vacate the title within 12 months.

Oh, and Badgers finish #3 in the nation.

I thought is was supposed to be a damned good defense.

Never saw a damned good defense before with absolutely no pass rush, though.

Thanks.

At least there's ONE Iowa fan that can keep his posts down to non-scroll length and also not be enthralled by his own idiocy.

Aubie vs. The Duck: could be an epcot mascot meeting.

if it couldn't be TCU, then I'm glad this is the game we're getting....
could be 10-9 or could be 56-55....

the offenses are probably equal, but the Oregon defense is definitely at a disadvantage here....
get out, get out while there's still time
