Can't we all be friends and stuff?
Re: Oregon vs Auburn
Rumor has it that Gene Chizik is taking the Auburn team duck hunting over Christmas break, just to get them in the right frame of mind for the game.
Re: Oregon vs Auburn
A duck hunting trip by Tuberville and his coaches during the post-season recruiting period is one of the reasons he is now at Taco Tech.

MegaSkeet420. Always posting while in the the car drinking beer. 3 minute mark or so he likes to go off on people saying he is drinking and driving.

Yeah, I saw that one before too. That's why I call him Sam's son. In that video, he's all Auburn hate. In the next video (Carson's) he's all SEC! SEC! SEC!

We have GOT to get that guy posting here. He's like a real life bradhuskers. I like how he refers to the national championship game as "the nationals."

I guess you're desensitized to those dudes. That is some wild shit to me. And hilarious. If he had his own tv show I'd be a regular viewer.

Yeah, they do that as a collective.

Re: Oregon vs Auburn
Good times, though -- the local sports radio guys are getting every Auburn radio/sports/whatever guys they can on their show, and trying to ensure they can get all the Oregon and Auburn fans in the same place drinking leading up tp the game.

Those guys are up here too, except we call them Buckeye fans. They're a tad more coherent though.

Re: Oregon vs Auburn
Oregon would NEVER root for USC even if everyone in California promised to drive solar cars and stop buying oregon real estate.
Never would Oregon root for the Trojans so I am not rooting for them, I only care about USC and hope UO loses by 140 points.

I ALWAYS root for USC in bowls... in the Old Days, when they used to play in bowls.

Re: Oregon vs Auburn
Based on these two teams' track record...expect a lot of these points to come in the second half. This could be 10-7 game at the half and they'll both go off in the 3rd and 4th quarter. If you were to only watch the second half, that's probably when all the action will happen. I'd actually not be surprised if it is a slow first half where both teams feel each other out and the second half, they cut loose and we'll see these two teams at their best.
Thomas and Newton are quite even throwing the ball...it'll come down to keeping Newton from making too many plays with his feet. I'd like to see what Oregon does in the 3rd and managable distances (5 or less) and if they can keep Newton from picking up some cheap first downs on the scramble or if they hem him in.
I saw a stat where Newton had 49 plays of over 10 yards while James had 47. James has 17 plays over 20 yards to Newton's 16. I'd be curious to see if whichever guy has more plays of 10 yards or more or 20 yards or more, will their team win the game.
If those two are around even in the "big play" category...you have to wonder who makes more big plays between Jeff Maehl and Darvin Adams. That would probably be a good indication of which QB had the better passing day. Auburn being 107th against the passing...if Thomas can make plays with his arm and you can get those burst plays from James...I really like the Ducks tonight to pull it out.
We've been teased by good matchups before but I really think this should be a show.

Auburn (I haven't checked the figures 'cause I could care less...this is what I'm hearing) outweighs Oregon about 30 lbs per man on both lines. And they're faster.
Nick Fairley will be in the OU backfield disrupting every play.
And Cam can't be tackled by any human.
So why play the damn game? It's a done deal.

Re: Oregon vs Auburn
I'd defer and play defense on the opening possession. How many times in these games do we see the offense go 3 and out to start because of jitters or whatever and allow the other team to establish field position? Horrible decision by Thomas btw not to keep on that option.

Gotta love bowl games!!
Let's play big games 38 days after the teams play their final regular season game so we can watch garbage football every year in the title game!
Brilliant idea, NCAA! Brilliant!
