Yeah, it does. If black comedy and graphic violence set in a B-side comic book superhero universe sounds like your cup of tea, you should definitely check it out. The opening scene sets the tone.
I guess the best criticism of the movie came from fat douche, Roger Ebert, who called it "morally reprehensible." And maybe it is, but I'm OK with that. If watching an 11 year old girl deliver the line, "Okay you cunts, let's see what you can do now," before absolutely murdering the fuck out of a room full of scumbag drug dealers offends you, then maybe you shouldn't tune in.
11 year old girl as a ninja bad ass, Nick Cage channeling Adam West's Batman and a teenage jerkoff comic book geek whose only "superpower" is the ability to take a hellacious beating...it shouldn't work but it does and beautifully.
It's on Netflix streaming.

Re: Kick-Ass
Definitely an entertaining flick. The little girl in the hallway scene taking out all those thugs was fucking awesome. Mrs. Rumps was a little uncomfortable with a few of the lines the little girl said, but I reminded her of Jody Foster's role in Taxi Driver.

Why did some of the characters remind me of posters on this board?

Never heard of it before but it gets mostly 9s and 10s on IMDb. May have check it out.
