Some board names should be dropped, some smack should be laid down, and some egos should be bruised.
It's the way to make people interested in chat, or interested in hearing about what went on in chat.

Hey, bri, there is an option on winamp to switch from your playsets to microphone.

There is, but with the winamp shoutcast software it doesn't work so well. If you plan on using the winamp shoutcast plugin, I would pre-record any talking segments. For the Mac user there is a DJ program that Smackie uses. He's never had a problem with that. But I've yet to see a Windows app that will do the same job. Kinda pisses me off.

You don't have problems if you are doing a pre-recorded bit. It is when you toggle from winamp to the mic that the signal gets hosed. I've had the problem, Smackie had the same problem until he switched to a Mac. Not sure about anybody else. Mgo, if you have the hookup, please post it in the radio forum. Because that issue has been a pain in the ass.

Now that you mention it, I do remember there being some issues with that feature when I used to do somewhat regular shows a couple years back. I didn't notice that problem last Sunday, but then again, I don't do much toggling back and forth between music and talk. I tend to play all my stuff, and then finish out the show with some live talk. If Rumps plans to utilize the talk feature throughout the show he may experience some connectivity issues.

Not sure if I can make that happen with 20 minute music segments, but I'll see what I can do.
