As is the norm this time of year, Oregon is ablaze (averages the most burnt acreage per year over thelong term, but plenty of states take a turn at #1 for individual years).
No biggie, sinceI don't need/wantto go to the Dryside for anything... except the winds are wrong, and there's a decent sized fire (4000 acres or so) on the flank of Mt. Hood,and the Portland area, particularly the northern reaches where I've been hanging, have een treated to brown skies all day.
Supposed to have at least a solid week of fire-weather, probably longer.
