If indeed these radio shows are so entertaining, they need to be available as podcasts.

And BTW, Rumple, I have no real problem with how you spend your time. You just might want to think before you post. Take for example your high octane flaming entrance to this board ('sup Archives). I mean, doesn't it seem to you that mentioning that you spend 10 hours getting prepped for a show that takes I don't know how long to deliver might suggest that you don't have a whole lot going on in your life? Of course, I don't remember you ever mentioning anything about kids, so that would leave some extra free time.
Nonetheless, I do have a grudging respect for you for the fact that even after that spectacular debut, you came back with the same nic. A lot of people ('sup anyone not named Rumple) would have ejected, laid low for a month, and come back with a new personna. Dinsdale can probably help you pick out the right Mac, BTW.

Yes, I am above listening to Led Zeppelin. See, the difference between you fucks and myself is that you would be content listening to classic rock FM radio for the rest of your lives. You'll hear the same songs from the same bands you love so much and claim to be superior to everything else over, and over, and fucking over. Myself? I like listening to new bands and modern music. They might not be as "good" as Led Zeppelin or other of your favorite bands that are currently filling adult diapers, but they are more enjoyable and fun to listen to.Van wrote:Wait. Screwey, for the record, your lame "I'm young...you're old!" cliche of an explanation still brings you no closer to being better than Led Zeppelin. It simply describes your abject douchiness. But hey, if you'd rather eat Skittles than steak just because those pretty globs of blue, red and green are new and exciting to you, knock yourself out.

I love new stuff too. But I do also believe there is room to recognize the classic music of the past while still appreciating the great bands of today. Although my efforts have not risen to the level that Marty might like, I do think it unfair that he refuses to acknowledge those efforts. A case in point, my most recent show.
1. Bob Dylan - Simple Twist Of Fate (4:19)
2. Johnny Winter - Highway 61 Revisited (5:05)
3. Titus Andronicus - A More Perfect Union (7:09)
4. Pat Travers - Snortin' Whiskey (4:15)
5. Iggy Pop - The Passenger (4:44)
6. LCD Soundsystem - Losing My Edge (7:53)
7. James Carr - A Man Needs A Woman (2:49)
8. Del Amitri - Stone Cold Sober (4:59)
9. The Cramps - Caveman (3:51)
10. Eddie Hazel - California Dreamin' (6:20)
11. Howlin' Wolf - Killing Floor (2:51)
12. James Brown, Bobby Byrd & The Jb's - Mashed Potatoes (5:19)
13. The Kleptones - 0900 Daft Purple.mp3 (4:06)
14. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant - The Battle of Evermore (6:41)
15. The National - Runaway (5:33)
16. The Count Five - Psychotic Reaction (3:05)
17. Alice in Chains - God Smack (3:50)
18. Copperhead - Kamikaze (5:26)
19. Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Pump It Up (3:14)
20. The Kleptones - 1100 Casbah Ain't Easy.mp3 (4:27)
21. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Chitlins Con Carne (3:56)
22. Lit - My Own Worst Enemy (2:49)
23. George Thorogood and The Dastroyers - Willie Dixon's Gone (3:12)
24. Sufjan Stevens - Vesuvius (5:26)
25. Sun Ra - Where Pathways Meet (6:32)
26. Omar & The Howlers - We Gotta Get Out Of This Place (3:54)
27. Cracker - Don't Fuck Me Up (With Peace And Love) (3:12)
28. John Valby - Those Were The Days (1:37)
Does that look like the work of a man hopelessly wedded to a particular era or genre?

I was amazed at how simple the install was. The only hitch was when I first launched the installer in windows, it tried (and failed) to detect every single one of my portable media drives. It was a tad baffling at first, but a quick perusal of the tech forum gave me the answer. After that I was off and running. I'm fairly certain that even Wags could pull it off after a Bud Rice night with the fellas.Martyred wrote:If you need any Ubuntu tips, hit me up in the Tech Forum. rack smackie and B for putting together epcot playlists, particularly smackie as he plays lots of old shit that never gets any love on the classic rock stations. B tends to play a little more of the gax newer stuff that marty of screwy might prefer, but, he makes up for it with awesome old stuff. and rack rumps for putting in a lot of time in an attempt of a show. the last one pretty much blew up on the launch pad, but, he'll get it right eventually.
