I just found it odd they were referring to him via initials, yet provided so much information about him it wasn't hard to figure out his real name....

Jerome Simpson of the Bengals was busted in September with 8lbs of weed + scales in his house which was deemed a distribution center. I wonder if he and Sam ever had cross-selling discussions.

More likely that with the weight Simpson was holding that Hurd would have been a supplier for Simpson. That could explain why Jerome Simpson has been free to play all this time despite having been busted red handed.
