Drug bust at TCU includes four football players meaning this program has really arrived
One day after the TCU football program continued the process of joining the big time by releasing its 2012 Big 12 football schedule it took a massive leap up the legitimacy power poll. This morning a large, campus-wide drug bust was announced that reportedly includes the names of four football players.
Police chief Steven McGee said this morning that all of those arrested are drug dealers, and that later today arrest affidavits would be available. Apparently this involves some frat boys, and football players.
Going to a BCS game against Boise State was a major step for this football team.
Beating Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl was another step.
Joining the Big 12 was thought to be the final hurdle.
A major drug bust? Now that's big time.
You can't be a big-time college football power if you aren't a little dirty. These things happen when, as the kids say, "you get good."
The full scale of this is not known just yet; if the players involved are obscure TCU coach Gary Patterson can easily dismiss them under the "We don't run that type of program" edict. If the players involved are serious contributors with a major upside? Well, a little counseling and a suspension for all drop-kick plays against Grambling may be in order.
I am sure TCU coach Gary Patterson is thrilled with this news. This is the type of feather and validation no coach wants any part of, but they are a part of big-time college athletics.
TCU, you have arrived. Now we know you can compete with the OU's, Okie States and, yes, even Texas.

It was just weed, weed is not a drug. The cops are pissed off because they paid 220 dollars for a pinched half ounce of garbage bag weed. Go to a dispensary here and you can get an ounce of the stickiest ickiest dank for 300 and all it costs is 100 a year for your card.

Looks like the real number was 5 with another 11 had trace amounts. Not sure how that works, seems to me you pass or fail a drug test. I would bet that 80% of D1A teams would have 5 fail a drug random drug test given in February.Adelpiero wrote:supposedly, between 50-60 players also failed their drug tests.

Didn't they also suck back then?Jsc810 wrote:I got to know a few of the football players when I was at TCU, wasn't aware of any of them using drugs. Other than steroids, of course.
