No, but Ron had conducted many of the interviews that went into the book and worked with all the archives in the Eisenhower Center at UNO. It was set up as an effort to collect oral interviews from as many veterans of the war as they can before they all die.
The staff on the tour were Ron Drez and his wife Judy who is the archetype of the refined Southern Belle. They also had someone to handle the local logistics. He was a former Israeli paratrooper who rolled his own cigarettes, wore black sweaters and was often gone for long periods of time...handling logistical "stuff" no doubt. Then there was some crazy Dutch bastard who drove the bus. "Ja..it can fit" and then you start to shit your pants but he never even scratched paint.
