MLB needs instant replay

Post by War Wagon »

Griffey hit's a ball off the top of the wall, it bounces back towards the field.

Ump makes the correct call.

Griffey cries like a bitch, manager comes out to cry like a bitch also.

Umps have a conference and then overturn original call, call it a HR.

What a crock of shit. This is baseball. Umpires never change their minds, nor should they.

WTF is going on here?

Graves was crying about the fans booing him, saying it hurts to be boo'd

YOU GAVE UP 7 RUNS IN THE NINTH, FUCKO

The Reds have given up 4,5, and 6 run leads in like the last six games or some shit like that, uh prepared to be boo'd.

It hit the top of the wall which is a continuation of the yellow line, and yess the top of the wall is yellow. The ball came back into play after hitting the top of the wall. It was called a ground rule double, much Reds whining ensued, it was changed to a home run. The correct call according to either MLB rules or the ball parks ground rules states that it should have been a double.

I hope you were joking Wags. Sure the umps miss a call every so often but replay is not the way to go. Three and half hour games are long enough, instant replay would push games to the 4 hour mark.

If anything there should be a review system for the umpires to judge their performance. Make the umps that consistently fuck-up calls be responsible in the way of reprimands, fines, and dismissal. Hell the umps are like the players in that they are trying to make the right call every time and usually get it right, but they aren't going to be perfect. That is part of the game.

Look at what IR did to football, longer games, and lazier refs that seem to rely on replay for the tough calls.

I don't know what replay would've done in that case but RFK definitely needs to do something about that foul pole though.

I think RFK would like to replay that whole Ambassador Hotel thing, and maybe get it different next time.
