I can not get my head around this team. Why does this team suck so bad? Cassell? Romeo?
Normally, I have a fairly good feel for a team. Eh they suck, and here's why. Blah blah blah.
But I am just at a loss for words here.

Where to start?

Cassel is a sackless pussy, as is Jamaal Charles. When Derrick Johnson wasn't missing tackles he was so hopelessly out of position to even make a tackle it didn't fucking matter. The only player on this shit team who earned a paycheck today was D. Bowe, the rest should have to walk home and that includes the entire coaching staff.

Yes, I am disgusted. If this worthless team were a dog, they should have a bullet put in their collective head. They may not win a fucking game all season.

Saw Babb this morning, great read. Hate to see that dude leaving. Mellinger had a really good take on this also. The best column he has written in fact.

They let Kyle Orton walk rather than let him compete with Cassel because that would acknowledge Piloi made a huge fuck up by giving him that $50M contract before he ever took a snap.

I wondered why Crennel basically just handed the job to Cassel at the end of last season. This explanation is the best reason I've seen. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense, especially considering how Cassel looked last season. Cassel, Fitzpatrick, Flynn, and Kolb are all back ups with a starting gig (or will be). There just aren't 32 NFL starting QBs on earth.

Yeah that's the way it was for me too, then a decade passed with the same ineptitude, and I became cynical. Now I understand the importance of good owners. The Redskins had Jack Kent Cook, who hired the GM and let him run the team and select the coaching staff. Many owners could learn a lesson or two from old Jack. If bad hires (coach/GM) meant championships, the Chargers would have many.
