Somewhere...
Somewhere...
…Carl Peterson is laughing his ass off.
Heard Billy-Bob on one of the local blowtorches this morning, and he is predicting the Clarks will blow out Pioli and RAC over this bye-week. Love him or hate him, Bill Maas WILL have an opinion. Maas went on to say that Hunt has been consulting with Marty Schottenheimer this past week (despite rumors that Pioli is mulling a contract extension) to determine his next move.
This cannot happen soon enough. The Veil of Secrecy that appears to define The Patriot Way only works when you’re winning. Oh, and if Tom Brady is your quarterback. The Chiefs aren’t winning. Pioli has completely lost the fan-base, and this town is in full revolt. Romeo is clueless, and Matt Cassel saw the last shred of any confidence he ever had buried in the Arrowhead turf last Sunday.
But that isn’t why Hunt makes this move – if he, indeed, decides to do so.
No, Hunt makes this move because Pioli’s incompetence is hitting him where it hurts most: In his pocketbook. Not only has Pioli failed to draft and develop a franchise quarterback – he’s failed to draft and develop any kind of skill-position star at all. Perhaps Justin Houston has promise, but the core of this franchise – Charles, Bowe, Flowers, Hali, and Johnson – were all drafted by Peterson and Herm Edwards.
Add Pioli’s draft failures, along with his inability to persuade a Jeff Fisher or a Peyton Manning to even land a plane anywhere near Kansas City, to two straight losing seasons highlighted by spectacular blowout losses and you have a pissed-off fan-base that only knows one way to voice its disgust: By staying away from Arrowhead in droves.
Something's gotta give. The Chiefs are a stellar 52-53 at Arrowhead since Marty Schottenheimer left. There is no Arrowhead magic. Look for blackouts – once thought to be ludicrous to ever occur – to become the rule and not the exception in Kansas City.

What's Screwey been up to these days? Probably considered to be a lateral move, though...
Re: Somewhere...
Fans are finally figuring things out T. 'Cept for those like Wags. He is a real fan ya know.
I'm holding out hope that Clark doesn't jump the gun on this. Lets wait, 5 or 6 more weeks. Or, better yet,
lets wait until the season is over. No need to go out and win 3 or 4 games. 1-15 sounds good to me and Geno Smith.

Re: Somewhere...
you didn't see the beat down Taco Tech put on Geno?
as for the Chiefs, I'll always be a fan but at some point you quit caring, become numb to the suffering and just hope for better days ahead.
kinda' like reading a kcdave post.

But you think Greg McElroy is a great QB.

Sam... don't you think it's about time you shut your hole in regards to QBs?Sudden Sam wrote:I've never said that.mvscal wrote:But you think Greg McElroy is a great QB.
I've said he's an average QB. No doubt even that was an overly optimistic assessment.
Every time the subject comes up, you clown yourself on such a ridiculously consistent basis, you should be in the Fucking Clown Hall of Fame.
Would you like me to post a link to a multi-page thread where your QB shenanigans are on full display?
You think a guy who averages 195 yards a game and 8.9 per attempt in a dink-and-dunk sytem is the "top QB," while taking his 2 sacks a game.
How's Mettenberger working out? You know, that guy your superior talent evaluations claimed was the second-coming of Johnny Unitas?
Just stop. It's becoming an embarrassment to all of us.

Please point out any of my QB-related posts that you found error-plagued.
For fucking real dude? You actually went there? You put on an absolute clownshow, laced with the stupid at every turn.

Re: Somewhere...
May have to rethink things surrounding Geno. Dude has not looked worth a damn the last 2 weeks.
Chiefs continue to lose their luster. I went to the Sprint Cup race yesterday. First major event
I have been to in 15 years where they didnt finish the Anthem with "Home of the Chiefs." Although, I
do not know if they have been doing it there in the past. Maybe the necks aren't down with that.
Lotta shit I didn't know about NASCAR racin'. Like, that there would be a dumb cunt behind us that
would stand up and wave and cheer for Jimmy Johnson every fucking lap. First 5 laps or so, Im like WOW,
she is a big fan. 10th lap, lady, enough already. 15, bitch you are CRAZY! Lap 150, or what ever it was,
Jimmy crashes, and being a boring ass race that it was, and not a big fan of JJ, my Father in Law yells and cheers a little.
Crazy Jimmy whore, freaks. "FUCK YOU, YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" She screams, while shaking the middle finger about
4 inches from the back of his bald ass head. She left a few minutes later in disgust.

A good portion of that crowd aren't from the KC area. They come from all over, lotta' folks from Nebraska and Iowa mainly, but even a good amount from the Dakotas, Minnesota and even Canada.kcdave wrote:Chiefs continue to lose their luster. I went to the Sprint Cup race yesterday. First major event

That place was packed yesterday. Saw a decent race but too many cautions and a very tame finish compared to many races. The average speeds are up over 10mph since they repaved that track, but it needs to get weathered in by a mid west winter before we see a good side by side action..

The local radio guys have started a weekly Munchie recap.
