Reason #1= if USC wins we will be butt fucked into another shitty all SEC MNC game. That is enough to put aside all common sense and shame and root for the Irish.

Barkley may not play, in which case there would be no chance of that happening.

Do you really want an SEC team to win the national championship for the 7th year in a row???

I like to think we gave a little payback to ND by probably knocking Barkley out of next week's game for providing us with Fauria & Evans....

How about because ND hasn't been there is about 100 years and it would be good for CFB? Because guys like me have suffered long enough with shitty coaching, shitty talent, shitty games teams etc......Or just because you're a nice guy?

I could definatly root for Kelly...as well as Teo (sp?).
seriously...what's going to happen when we finally go to super conferences and there's 16-20 teams in the SEC and there's just no room for 6 more SEC teams in the top 10? They'll prolly add 10 more BCS bowls to accomodate i'm sure...

Damn....I gotta confess that I really didn't expect to wake up Sunday and have the Irish at #1.
1. The Irish winning would be good for football, rekindling both the excitement and the hatred.
2. Nobody but the SEC folks like the SEC
3. I really......REALLY need a championship to off-set the dead-gerbil taste in my mouth left from the Chargers the last couple years and the Irish for the last decade or so

Matt Barkley suffered shoulder sprain, will miss Notre Dame game
The USC quarterback was injured in the final minutes of the Trojans' 38-28 loss to UCLA. Redshirt freshman Max Wittek will start for the first time Saturday at the Coliseum.

True. Hopefully he'll still be available in the draft when the Chargers get a pick.Sudden Sam wrote:Barkley's been a damn interception machine anyway.Mikey wrote: The USC quarterback was injured in the final minutes of the Trojans' 38-28 loss to UCLA. He'd be perfect as Rivers' eventual replacement. Can't run, throws the ball to the other team.
Re: Alright Domer fans.....
Why I'll be rooting for ND (something I've NEVER done): Well, because they're not USC or AP. As much as I don't like ND, I don't think anyone can deny that having them in the title game will be good for college football. Plus, it will give me a reason to root for 'Bama in the NC game.

Fuck that noise. It's good for two groups of people: ND fans and tv execs. Why should I give a shit about ND's "return to glory?" CFB was humming along just fine with ND going .500 every year.Mace wrote:I don't think anyone can deny that having them in the title game will be good for college football.
