As always, it kinda helps to have nearly all your bowls games as virtual home games.

I know it will never happen, but man would I love to see the script flipped. Let's see how the southern teams would fare during a bowl season involving all their teams traveling north to play Midwest teams in the cold before their own fans.

Yes, I do want to go there. Every damn year we see Midwest teams paired against SEC teams, always in the Deep South. Yes, the Pac 8/10/12 has benefitted from playing the Rose Bowl in Pasadena each year rather than in, say, Soldier Field, but at least the Pac has to travel to places like Texas for some of their bowl games. The SEC? When are they ever not in their element, and it's nearly always against a cold-weather team.

Exactly. Damn SEC honks.....
Hell.....even the title game WOULD be a nearby-home game if it weren't for the fact that Irish Fan is gonna take Miami over

Come on Van. You know damn well why the vast majority of bowls are in the SE and Florida in particular. Same thing for the PAC 12 as you pointed out. If the Rose were in Chicago for the last 75 years there would prolly be another 5-7 B1G wins than there are. But there is a reason the B1G folks aren't complaining about it.

It's a bit of a stretch for Pac12 fan to call out SEC fan on bowl locations. Props to the Pac12 though I guess as they have one bowl outside of their time zones. :meds:

...did you not get? I already admitted that the Rose Bowl's location has given the Pac (and, obviously, USC) an advantage. That's one game, though. Jsc and I were talking about an entire conference, not just USC or LSU.

Wait -- the SEC schedules 4 games with Weathervane U, and gets a bunch of teams eligible, and plays chumps?

Man, who woulda thunk that it was how they rolled?

All I know is that Notre Dame NEVER has home field in a bowl game.......not that that's mattered much the last decade or so...... :x
