New Coach - New System - Same Results
The Chargers never fail to disappoint.
Re: New Coach - New System - Same Results
The new coach called Norv during half time for tips on how to lose a game. Things were just going way too good.

...but for a horsebleep call they win the game. Some official just waiting for the right moment to blow the whistle on the new "don't touch the center" rule. Clearly a blown call, the center came through clean and on his feet and yet the whistle blew. Wipe the field goal, touchdown on the next play and Houston is handed a win.

That was a crap call. 28 to 7 at one point though. Who loses that game? CM, your team gave up. They were bouncing around like they had it won. Tough lesson learned.
Besides, Rivers was awesome in the 1st half and turned to complete crap in the 2nd.

VP of officiating: Key penalty in Chargers-Texans game shouldn’t have been called:
But in an interview with the NFL Network’s “Total Access” show on Tuesday. NFL VP of Officiating Dean Blandino revealed that the penalty should not have been called by Scott Green’s crew.
“This was not a correct call,” Blandino said. “The rule is to protect the snapper on a field goal or extra point from a direct forcible blow to the head or neck area, or with the crown/forehead/hairline parts of the helmet to the body. It was not designed to prohibit any contact with the snapper, which is what happened on this play.”

I thought it was a proper call vs. the Chargers...Ed Hackuly
Trev, as for Rivers...First half he had decent protection in the pocket and was next to perfect on his accuracy. Second half, Houston dialed up the blitzes and it looked like last year all over again. No protection, no time=poor results. Schaub was brilliant as well when given time, when the Bolts blitzed he looked like Cryin Ryan Leaf. Did they have a poor second half, YES, did Houston have a crap first half YES, bottom line, Chargers should have won but for another blown call against them.

Why was there not a horror movie done with this family?
Re: New Coach - New System - Same Results
You're right. They should have won...but they coughed up a 21 point lead in the fourth quarter. A fuck of a lot more than a blown call had to wrong there.ChargerMike wrote:Chargers should have won but for another blown call against them.

Re: New Coach - New System - Same Results
The facts remain: they played a very good first half and had a 28-7 lead...they played a horsesh!t second half and gave up that lead...but for a blunder by the refs, they still most likely would have won the game despite giving up said lead. It was a 4 point switch and Houston won by 3 on a last second field goal.

It's been playing for three hours weekly for ten fucking years. Up until recently it's been in limited release in my area.*MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:

Re: New Coach - New System - Same Results
Perfect example of the "prevent" defense. What a pathetic waste of time and space this team is.

Nice going, Nancy.
