The only positive experience in Atlanta was changing planes to connect elsewhere. The one time I stayed there for a weekend, I took the MARTA (Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta as a local told me), to the Peachtree Marriott for a weekend. I looked outside and saw nothing but black guys walking on the sidewalks spaced about 50 yards apart just wandering around with no sense of purpose.

When I left the Marriott to go back to the airport via the nearby MARTA station, the black ticket checker said this to me: "Hey man, it's been a really rough day. Do you have any spare change for me?" I said, "It's 6:20 am! How has it been a really rough day for you?" He then said, "Aaiight, you got me" and he laughed. Fucking parasite.

Actually, when I got off of the MARTA... after dealing with that piece of shit at the station, I had the audacity to go to self check-in for an American Airlines flight home at Hartsfield. I was given a bad time by a TSA gubmint cheese taker employee (he was a black guy, BTW). I axed him why he singled me out, and he said that I went through the self-check in. Oh no! How many items did he steal from the others that went through the gate?

With all the traveling I used to do, I only remember connecting through Hartsfield once. It was around '91 or '92, and there were two fairly memorable moments that stand out. The first was when I was walking through the terminal toward the gate along with a buncha other people (mostly dudes) doing the same. This smokin' hot chick wearing what looked like Wilma Flintstone's dress was walking toward us, and as she passed, EVERY guy in the general vicinity turned his head at the same time to catch a glimpse of her backside after seeing what she had to offer up front. It was almost like a choreographed flash mob how all heads turned in unison. After she was gone from sight, we total strangers started talking to each other asking ourselves if we had really seen what we thought we had, as if an alien had just been in our presence. Very surreal.

A few minutes later, I went into the men's room (to take a piss, assholes, not rub one out), and when I walked in, Kirby Puckett & Gary Gaetti were standing at the sink. The Twins had recently won the World Series, so I made some meaningless small talk with them about baseball before they quickly tired of me and went about their business.

Other than that, I seem to remember the layover as being relatively uneventful.

Whitey ain't coming back to the fan base. He left because the NBA draws more black people than white. Spending your marketing dollars to attract a demo that is probably never coming back to or even considering attending. There are whites at games in other markets. And no, I don't claim to be any sort of demographics expert. I do agree with you that whitey ain't gonna go to games in the ATL much. And while there may be something to his "whitey is afraid" hypothesis, I think it has much more to do with the fact that ATL upper-middle class whitey is a carpetbagger who could give a rat's arse. Homegrown whitey tends to be poorer and spends all his expendable income at SEC football games and neckcar.

Various local news stations are reporting three people were beaten Saturday when an estimated 100 youths swarmed a parking lot and beat anyone who didn’t run.

A video taken by one witness shows the swarm and features the witness laughing as the mob gets a “white dude.”
The mob was comprised of black and white people, said WREG-TV, and a witness said two of the three victims were black.

One group is shown stomping one victim until he can no longer move and then hitting him with Kroger pumpkins before a security guard steps in.

That victim is a Kroger employee who tried to stop the mob from attacking customers, says WREG.

The gang of teens had gathered at the shopping center to play a game called “point them out, knock them out,” which involves someone pointing at someone and the crowd beating them.

“There was no real reason behind it,” said one witness, who said it is the second such incident he has seen in a week.
All victims have been released from the hospital.

A 15-year-old teen was arrested and charged with the equivalent of aggravated assault, WREG reported Monday. The teen, who does not attend school, was out of jail on gun-related charges. In the video (and picture above), the arrested teen is the one in the lime green shirt kicking the person on the ground, police say.

Since the suspect is a minor his name will not be released and technically he cannot be charged with a crime. As odd as it sounds, when the suspect turns 18 he will be able to honestly say he’s never been convicted of a crime when applying for a job. He can also legally purchase a gun.

Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong said the incident is extremely troubling, especially since it came just days after the city’s youth violence prevention forum.
