Wait a minute, you're the cardboard brain-dead fraud. Let's hear you play over a simple 12-bar blues. That's all. With real voice and development over the four or five minute backing track
go ahead, choose any one..

and if you do, I'll apologize...

If you can pull it off, you can choose one for me. A blues, however, not one of your noxious noisy note-gnashings.

Nice song PW for on the spur of the moment.Papa Willie wrote:http://wikisend.com/download/281330/gds ... gdserg.mp3
There. I listened to the first 1 minute, figured out what it was, recorded that in a first take, it sucks by my standards, but I didn't see any reason to spend more than 10 minutes between recording, rendering & putting it on a site - since we'll never hear you do shit.
I understand what this place is, but what i don't understand after all these years is the lack of respect some people show one another. Sure smack talk was funny back in 99, but some people never grow out of it, and that's why people disappear and there's a lack of new members. Sure I don't agree with some takes, but I have learned to respect most of my peers in the NFL forum, and met a few for drinks & a tailgate or three before a game. Good times. More than one member here has mentioned they would not share this site with friends, their kids, or spouses. That's all you need to know to understand this site's future is zero.
I'm not saying if a take is whack it doesn't deserve a few cracks, but the general disrespect and hate hurts this site....big time.
I know enough about PW to understand he's a pretty darn good musician just from his postings in the Music forum, and a good peep too.

Okay, a reasonable attempt. The last chorus almost works. You don't actually attend the changes beyond the most basic form of the 12-bar, and you demonstrate nothing that could be called soulful or actually composed.. But you got through it. I'll play that one and a few others and we'll see where things really are.

That seems like the sort of idea that only a paste-eating tard would come up with.
Joe -- every now and then, people from this board meet each other. I'm quite confident they don't extend their hand and say "nice to meet you, you felching dong-huffer!"

Re: Papa Willie vs LTS TRN 2 Guitar-Off
No, of course it's improvised. I mean composed in the sense of an overall approach to the seven or eight choruses--instead of just repeating the same riffs. For your part you started out with simple riffs--avoiding the actual changers (like the fourth bar's iv-flat five) and just skating over it like a straight 12-bar. And as I mentioned your last chorus does stretch out a bit. All good and well. What I'm interested in is your method of posting the recording. How'd you do it? I can record on ableton but when I play with these tracks I just play live. Your playing aside, the recording sounds great. What's the deal?

Pennys? Why the heck would we want to see your pennys? That doesn't make any cents.
While I agree with Marty that your position regarding Nick is admirable, it's easy enough to Google information about guitars, techniques, etc. He has to prove he can play first.

This is the best message I have ever seen here. I have been on a couple of other message boards and nobody talks like they do here. It's like all the insane people in the internet were gathered up and put right in here. It is really disgusting. Because of Joe's message, The Deciders are determined to completely revamp the tone and culture of this place. The mean-spiritedness that fills every nook and cranny of this once great community, will no longer be tolerated. The constant malicious attacks are causing people to leave as well as preventing new people from joining. That dynamic makes this message board completely unappealing to potential advertisers, which in turn hurts our bottom line.
And let's face it, it's just so much nicer to be around nice people. You know?
