Residents of SoCal a question.
Are you guys really chomping at the bits to get an NFL team back there? From what I've read and observed seems like The NFL and Fuhrer Goodell wants them in LA more than LA does. Also is it because the three top candidates to relocate there aren't exactly desirable?Just wondering what SoCal residents are thinking as all I've heard is from the NFL and the media.

Re: Residents of SoCal a question.
As a lifetime Raider fan, I was fortunate as a student at USC to be within walking distance to the Colesium to watch Raider games on Sundays. They drew pretty well and ticket prices were very affordable for a college student. It was more fun watching the fights in the stands than the games. The facility sucks ass like the O.com shithole in Oakland. No NFL team should want to use that LA dump again.
I know they are talking about building a major facility near LAX, and I guess it would work for a team like the Rams, but I don't see any interest in anything other than possibly the Raiders. I don't think that Marc Davis would be able to afford to keep the team if he had to move... anywhere.
LA has a pretty strong LA Rams fan base. The Rams would do quite well returning home without a doubt. Chargers moving there? There are still too many Raider fans that live there that would want to support the Chargers.

I just listened to this week's D. Carr training camp press meeting.
He said he expects "lumps in the road."
Then 10 seconds later he again said he expects lumps in the road.
Low wonderlic.

Phillip Rivers is not negotiating a contract extension because he doesn't want to move his family to that ğʘĐ- and Godless Hollywood cesspool.

He had 65 million reasons to sign before hitting the field this season.

Yeah I noticed that this morning. Actually I like Rivers but the Chargers can GFT though as far as I'm concerned.Atomic Punk wrote:http://espn.go.com/blog/san-diego-charg ... -extension

How in the fuck can they switch divisions?
To make it work, one would have to switch conferences.
Either way, an original AFL team would be in the NFC.
That sux and is gax

They would have to consult with Seattle's #1 life long fan, Diego, first.KC Scott wrote:If that happened they'd probably send Seattle back to the AFC West

Rack Schmickety. Though the fact of the matter is there are more people who live in LA that don't care about LA pro football than who actually do. And of course they won't bend over for the NFL (rack southern California, for once).

I have a similar attitude, if or when the Chargers leave, I'll never watch the NFL again. Fairly incredible considering I was a die hard fan 10 years ago.
These days for me the NFL isn't much different than the IRS, an organization to loathe, as it continually attempts to pilfer from every resident in the community.

That would work for me. Love the original blue and white unis and still wonder why they haven't used them for throwbacks.Sudden Sam wrote:If the Rams go back to LA, they HAVE to revert to the blue and white unis. That looked much better than the crap they wear now.
Also, un-rack Schmickles for a stupid take. Please, by all means never watch NFL football again. Your silly input won't be missed.

I guess the Raiders switching to the NFC wouldn't be the worst thing ever.

Re: Residents of SoCal a question.
we've done fine without a team for many years, I don't see any reason not to continue the trend. I'm an hour and a half from San Diego and enjoy the once a year trip down. If joe goes belly on the league I may not even make it once a year. I mostly go down for the cubans and brauts.
