I'm really surprised they upheld that last touchdown.

I DVR'd the second half of that game to watch in the morning cuz I had a feeling it was gonna be entertaining. It certainly was, but... does the Pac know that defense is a legal thing? Like, you are actually allowed to suit up 11 guys on D in an attempt to stop the other team from advancing the ball. I think a conference wide memorandum should be emailed out or something.

And yeah, ASU definitely got jobbed. They need to do away with the whole concept of needing conclusive video evidence to overturn the original call on the field. When they go to the booth, they need to treat it like a blank slate. Fuck the original call on the field. Just go with what your eyes tell you. It doesn't have to be this complicated.

Sorry, my policy now is the same as it has been for many years -- I'll laugh off any derision of PAC defenses until such a time that the Big 12 is disbanded... truly the Conference of No D.

And Addison's TD was a bit... iffy.

Looks like Adams finger healed, and he can throw the ball again. He's a dancin' fool.

Just gotta win out, and hope someone else can hang an L on Stanford.

And what's the Over/Under or Oregon/Stanford? About 200, give or take?

I have been saying something similar for years.

Let's use a fumble returned by the defense for a TD as an example. During the live play I am 95% sure the runner is down before the ball starts moving. I am told to not blow the whistle and stop play. Instead we are told to err on the side of letting the play continue and to let replay correct it after the fact. The problem with this approach is that replay will then need conclusive evidence to correct the play. No camera is going to have the same view I did. And if it is not 100% clear that he was down the play stands despite my original 95% thought that he was down.

BTW -- after seeing a few photo sequences, Addison's back foot was inbounds, and he had full control of the ball before the front foot went out of the back of the endzone.

All the focus was on his front foot, which was actually a moot point.

Legit TD (but let's call a spade a spade -- PAC refs getting a difficult call correct is like the proverbial "blind squirrel").

I could link various photo sequences... but GFY. I had my doubts at the time, but it was a forrealz TD.
