Chip Kelly Lands...Where?
No way this "firing" wasn't deliberately timed.

Re: Chip Kelly Lands...Where?
The Titans would make sense in the NFL but maybe he sits out a year with the prime college openings already filled.

that's what Oklahoma fans used to say. losing changes a lot of minds. not just that, about the half the HS teams in Texas run popgun spread offenses. UT has been pretty weak at QB and especially RB for a while now. Colt McCoy was about as popgun as you get.Sudden Sam wrote:He doesn't seem like the guy Texas would want. Can't see the Longhorns running that popgun offense.
Mack hired Bryan Harsin a Boise State guy.

I hope not. Besides, they'd hire Herman before they would hire Kelly.King Crimson wrote:decent chance Texas job is open in a year, too.

Re: Chip Kelly Lands...Where?
no shit....his offense centers around a running gunning quarterback and that doesn't translate in the NFL where defenses are looking to decapitate a starting QB.....the only QB that's been successful at it is Cam Newton and he doesn't run anywhere close to as much as he ran in college.....on the other hand, look at Colin Kaepernick...that guy will be lucky if he's dragging a clipboard around with him next year.....Papa Willie wrote:Well - he says he wants to stay in the NFL. Once he figures out that nobody wants him there, he'll have no choice but to take a step back.
where will chip kelly land?
at the back of the unemployment line where else...
get out, get out while there's still time

Noggernick has very similar numbers to Newton.Felix wrote:on the other hand, look at Colin Kaepernick...that guy will be lucky if he's dragging a clipboard around with him next year.....

It makes too much sense not to happen. You double-down on the investment of Mariotta and Kelly can build his offense around him. We can remember the rumors of the Eagles trading for him...don't know how close they ever got to making a move.
