Acknowledging there was a presidential election would have alienated his team?

i actually think it's pretty clever. Trump tells what used to be called the "southern strategy" to elect a president that you like what they like (SECBSH/ESPN). i think there will be some uncomfortable moments for Trump and old time, real GOP types. New York guy....making some hay in the South.Sudden Sam wrote:Cool, I'll get to meet Nick Saban!
Trump is hardly the Reagan type conservative....many have been dreaming about for so many years. or George Wallace.
i think Saban is OK what he says. he's got a right not to care. or have to be a part of it....his life as a political person is his business. it's a press conference for football. he's at work.

We have four years of East coast rich guy trying to be with the common folk. I will give credit to Trump for one thing above all, he does not look phony when he engages the poor rednecks of the world. Unlike when he tries to engage religious zealots. He truly does not understand the religious underpinning behind American conservatism. But that's not a bad thing.King Crimson wrote:I actually think it's pretty clever.
