RIP Rashaan Salaam
"Keys, woman!"
Re: RIP Rashaan Salaam
That sucks.
He went to the same HS that my stepdaughter went to (before I was married), but a few years later. From eight man football at a small private school to the Heisman is pretty amazing.
RIP.

Suicide. Look for CTE to be a cause.

I remember when he went to the Bears. He was injured the first couple of games. First time out, he came in on a goal line play, and ran it in. He turned and handed the ball the the zebra. In a perfect moment of camera/microphone placement, on the sidelines, they captured the equipment guy bringing him the ball:
[Equipment guy (shoving ball at Rashaan): Here!
Rashaan: What's this?
EG: The ball from your first ever NFL TD!
RS (dismissively): I've scored touchdowns before
... and walks away.
Pure awesomeness. Loved that guy.

Sad story. That guy was a stud in the glory days of CU football. Sounds like he was a good person off the field, RIP.
