Feb 8th House Oversight CommitteeI do not believe that we should be financed by the industries that we are supposed to be legislating and regulating and touching with our legislation.
Feb 8th House Oversight CommitteeA "bad guy" politician could be entirely funded by corporate PACs say from the fossil fuel industry, the health care industry, big pharma and, once elected, draft, lobby, and shape the laws that govern the United States of America.
I can be totally funded by oil and gas, can be totally funded by big pharma, come in, write big pharma laws, and there are no limits to that whatsoever.
So we could expect her to abstain from any votes in which she received funds from one or more of the parties that legislation would touch. But that would be incorrect. On January 30th she voted for the Federal Civilian Workforce Pay Fairness Act which gave pay raises to Federal Workers. Never mind she took money from the American Postal Workers Union, Public Sectors Union and from Individual Civil Servants. All of whom benefited from her vote in favor of the raise.
She also voted for the Save the Internet Act on April 10th. All of the major tech companies wanted this legislation. AOC took money from Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft. Campaign Donations are listed here.
So which is it AOC? Big money donations are bad when Congress is voting on Legislation of these companies? Or is it money is only bad when it goes to your opponents, but you are exempt? What a hypocrite.
