Actually yeah I have been there.
The LVC is this sports themed place downtown where the employees wear unis that look like baseball jerseys. It isnt all that bad its just downtown.and downtown is a dump.
the Fitz is ok you can duck in there and get a cheap drink at the bar.
The Klondike is at the end of the Strip and there is a reason for that.
Do NOT walk around the Stratosphere area. just trust me on that.
Seriously check out a place on the Strip called the Peppermill. Its cool, for real.

Seeing that for the first time is mind blowing-I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere and scenery there. Top shelf casino all the fucking way.

He has stayed just about everywhere, with the exception of Wynn and Venetian. He used to go several times a year.
I am now officially leaning toward the Venetian, although, I'm thinking it may be a waste of Vegas to spend a good chunk of our vacation fund on our room.
Keep in mind, this is the 18th - 25th. For some of you, I realize that is a drop in the bucket, but for those of us with kids in college and what not, we have to be somewhat reasonable.
But I do like the way it looks. Absolutely gorgeous.

RACK the Assassin for the 411 on the local watering holes devoid of tourons-i'll keep it in mind when I go back.
LK, if you want to stay pretty damn close to everything but want to keep it relatively inexpensive, try the Luxor. I'm sure you can get a great deal there, and they upgraded our room to a jacuzzi suite for 49 fucking dollars. RACK that shit.
Personally though, I dig Mandalay, Bellagio, and Venetian way to damn much to waste my sleeping time at Luxor again.

the venetian also has a gondalay(?) boat that takes you and your signifigant other around the hotel. i didnt take it, but they say it takes you outside, and back into the hotel
the casino is sweet, pitbosses were kinda clueless. it took my buddys gfriend(big gambler) almost 30 minutes to get her chips cashed in. she was up close to 8 grand, and they have to have the pit boss where you play certify the chips

since she had some mustard chips(1k). it was like they had opened up that day with newbies in all the pits.
you wont have to wrry about that(nor me, im not that lucky), they will cash out your 2 red chips with no problems

Just got back from Vegas about 3 hours ago. Was an o.k. time. Stayed at the Paris Hotel. Place was nice. Had a pretty cool room on the 31st foor. Shop around to get the best price. Just because they have a certain price on their website doesn't mean they don't deal on their room. Our room was going for $340 a night on saturday and $180 on sunday but on their website they have a price match gaurantee, We found a package on Expedia for 150 a night and they matched it plus took 25% off so we got 2 nights for $250 total. Biggest complaint is they were really stingy on the free drinks. I've gone to vegas and pretty much drank for free all weekend but payed for almost all my drinks this time around, had a few free but the drink whores were not around too much this weekend. My buddy got married at the new Wynn hotel in his suite. This place was off the hook. He was on the 60th floor 2000 sq ft suite with full bar and 3 plasma T.V's in the room with a masage room with table. He was there 5 nights at a grand a night for the room. Here's some pics I took from my room
The Wynn
Ceasars
Bellagio Fountain

Well, its been decided. Four nights at the Mirage, two at Wynn. (I'm still pissy about this, don't get me started. I wanted Venetian)
I'd be just as happy with every night at the Mirage, but he is too curious. Amazingly, its the same price, almost for the four nights Mirage vs. the 2 nights Wynn. Pathetic.

Seriously, There isnt one fucking reason to go there-its pretty much one of the outdated casinos on the strip now. You can get better clubbing, gambling, bitches, and rooms/pools at ANY other joint.
Ceasars just doesnt rate any longer-unless you want to overpay and check out any of todays worthless slouches inappropriately called 'boxers'
Hell, I dont even know if they still hold fucking fights there.....I think MGM took that over.
lk, that fucking blows ass-I've heard quite a few people say that its overrated as far as a place to sleep goes. Everything else is probably a different story, im sure-as wynn is considered vegas royalty and knows his shit. I just cant imagine anyplace cooler to stay than the venetian, bellagio, or mandalay bay. All are a fucking blast and cool as fuck in thier own respects.
Fuck wynns-try to talk your guy into the venetian........its your vacation too, right?

my buddy is a pitboss at the Venetian.
he's been there for about 6 months..so, i don't have any real particulars about their practices.
he spent a Long time at The Orleans before switching.
i DOUBT if the Venetian STAFF is extraordinarily SLOW at taking care of COIN.
maybe Adelpiero's buddy's g/f had "other" issues at her table....not at her fault.

I stayed at Ceaser’s about 25 years ago, it seemed pretty nice then. With the median age of their clientele these days, they should rename it Seizures Palace.

I'm glad someone besides me noticed that.
OK - Question from the Man: Is the sushi place still across from the Venetian where you do the Gondola rides? He can't remember the name, but he thought it would be an eating establishment I might enjoy, and according to him (he hasn't been in 3 years) they make great Manhattans.

Picker,
Since you are getting married there, make sure you take an extra golf pencil and "application" form from the Clark County Couthouse when you go get your license. They make for a nice suovenir. You'll actually have a good time there while waiting on line, lot's of interesting couples.
Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Gotcha. He's checked into most of that stuff. It was originally going to be a vacation/surprise, but it didn't work out that way, due to trial schedules and his work and what not.

They are semi-retired. The sandwich is for Luther's benefit, he seems to like it. Probably reminds of of a better time, when he had teeth and the ability to eat solid foods. It's important to make our elders comfortable and happy in their golden years, I'm doing my small part.

I thought Vegas was a place where they'd practically put you up for free in order to siphon all the cash out of your wallet and bank account.

Oh my GOD! That is too funny. Kind of the picture I got of it too.
As for paying that for the room for two nights - those are the "spending a little more time in the room, and less in public" nights. It'll be worth every penny.

Bullshit.
Mirage is 179 a night during the week and about 250 on weekends.
