Never said it was. But I disagree with those who say that "government should be run like a business." The primary objective of a business is to turn a profit. That shouldn't be government's objective.

The closest analogy to how a government should be run that I can think of, and even this is weak because of the difference in size, is a household or family. You try to live within your means. If necessary, you're willing to go into debt for certain necessities (e.g., home, car, education), but you pay other necessities as you go (e.g., food, gasoline, utilities). And if you have a member of your family who needs a little extra help, you try to give it to them if you're able.

It's not rocket science, really, but how exactly to apply that concept to government is where people disagree.

Agree with the second half, but not the first. Again, running a corporation and running the country are two entirely different things, for a variety of reasons.
